Last night when i was writing out this years cards i began thinking about last year. I remember one card i recieved that will always stand out in my mind...

My brother....he is...odd. lol. He got me a card that said "Merry Christmas to my Great Granddaughter"
.....and he got our sister a card that said "Happy Holidays Uncle"

We almost peed ourselves laughing at those cards.

Does anyone in your family do gag gifts or cards?

Nuh uh...might give me away!
It wasn't technically a Christmas gift, but we got my father-in-law the Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery kit last week.

He decorates cakes for family (I've taken over on this side) and recently complained that after years of decorating cakes he doesn't get to have all the cool gadgets. He thought it was a hoot!

We have a history of giving gag gifts at Christmas on my dad's side of the family. One year someone gave me a giant pair of bloomers that said "I'm not fat...I'm just fluffy." I don't get mad, so I am often the target of joke gifts.

And this year, we played Dirty Santa at the family party with $5.00 gifts. I wasn't sure I was going and didn't really have a plan for what to take as a gift. So I stopped by a grocery store on the way to the party and bought six dollars worth of scratch off lottery tickets. I felt bad when I saw some of the nice gifts that people were getting...it looked like some of them had spent a lot more. But it was so funny when they got around to opening the lottery tickets. Everybody kept stealing them from each other. I thought I would fall out laughing.
All that entertainment from something you can buy at almost any gas station.

Last year I scanned a 50$ bill and put it in my brothers card so when he opened it he was like "SWEET 50 BUCKS!" and then it was fake.

One year my sister had been saving up to get a breast enlargement surgery but ended up having to use the money to buy another car.
Now, let me add, she's a very attractive person in the first place and we've all told her she didn't need it.
But, it's her choice so we stood by her.

Soooo, for Christmas I went out and bought several different bras for her.
Wonderbras, water filled ones, and really thick padded bras... In size 44DDD!!!

When she opened them she almost fell out of the chair laughing

Another time we brought home a recliner in a HUGE refridgerator box and told my dad it was a new one for the neighbor. Seeing as they were good friends at the time and he wanted to play a joke on him.
So we wrapped the box in 3 or 4 rolls of plastic wrap, 2 rolls of duct tape inbetween each layer of plastic wrap and then we wrapped it with wrapping paper.
We even put the name tag as our neighbor and it sat under our tree for a week before Christmas.
Well Christmas day when our neighbors came over, we all opened our gifts and finally told my dad it was HIS present

He couldn't figure out why we bought him a refridgerator

After he got through all the tape, plastic wrap and wrapping paper he opened his brand new recliner

In a state of insanity :)
My sister and I got a great big gift for christmas one year. When we opened it up there was another box stuck inside it.
We opened that one only to find a smaller
box inside that. We opened that and found another smaller box
. This happened until we got to a small box that had a watch in it. This was from our brother whose bright idea it was to do this for us.

One year when I was a teenager, we asked my dad what he wanted for Christmas.. He said that he wanted a box of KOTEX.

So Mom and I went out and bought him the biggest box of KOTEX we could find. His look of surprise on Christmas was priceless!! Needless to say, Mom and I used the kotex.
