Molly and Polly are both petite, but Polly even more so. She's especially longlegged and very slim. She's in proportion though and very healthy.

Spooky never weighed more than 6 pounds. I think she was small due to being a feral rescue. The cat that we had when I was growing up weighed 28 pounds, so Spooky always seemed particularly tiny! Lola is pretty petite too. Her top weight has been 7.2 pounds. She doesn't appear that small though, because she's got long fur....same with Maggie, who is just under 8 pounds. The long fur makes her look bulkier, but she's a feather weight when you pick her up! Cleo's a tank....she feels like she's full of lead when you pick her up, and she's around 13 pounds.

Mittens is petite. I got her when she was still a kitten, I think around 8 months old, already spayed, and she still looks the same as she did then. She hasn't gotten any bigger, she's gained weight, but she has a very small body build. We think she may have been the runt, or she is just supposed to be small. She has a tiny head and teensy little paws. She's very solid, I can't feel her ribs or spine, but she isn't fat, the only fat on her is her spay sway.

Monster, on the other hand is HUGE. Huge paws, huge head, huge body. But he looks bigger than he really is, he has very long fur. When I am stroking him, I can feel his backbone, can't feel his ribs. I do not like knowing that I can feel his spine, but he is NOT too skinny by any means. Both are extremely healthy according to the vet. Both of them are very active. They chase each other around, or one of them will tear thru the house alone. Mittens LOVES to play. I play with them for an hour or two every night. During the play sessions, I try to get them to run and jump.

Cindy is under 8 pounds. I was concerned when we first got her, but the vet says she's just fine.

Lily's a petite girl - she very long and lean, and weighs about 8lbs. I can feel her ribs, but for her that is healthy. I could try to fatten her up, but that wouldn't be healthy for her

My smallest cat is Fluffy - she will be 2 in April but she weighs 2.9 kg or 6.4 pounds. She;s just had major surgery and been through a season though (and lost a litter of kittens!).

Ginger weighs in at a big 9 pounds, I think she is small compared to other cats.
Shhhhhhh, dont tell her this, her attitude more than makes up for her size!

I know you know this but if you are really worried some blood work can be ran easily.
Never a bad idea at any rate anyway.
I have a petite little healthy adult kitty as well, she is around 6 lbs. She is very cute
After being spayed nothing changed at all.

Mia is my petite girl. She is almost 3 yr old and her frame is probably the size of a 9 mo old kitten. She weighs 8.5 lbs so she is not super skinny, just a small frame. The bones in her legs and feet are so thin and precious! Her bone in the spine sticks out a bit, but she has good padding over her ribs. Sometimes I too worry that one good illness would wipe her out but luckily she's healthy and never even had a cold. Unlike her sister, eating isn't her favorite activity. Sometimes I'll call her and call her to come eat and after about 10 minutes of looking, she'll still be fast asleep under the bed. Luckily she has been showing up for mealtime more often than not lately.

Her sister Marble also has a small frame with small legs/feet but not as much as Mia. Marble weighs 12 lbs and is very muscular, so that's where all her weight is. She loves to eat and I'll know something is wrong with her the day she refuses, so I'm not too concerned about her

What's funny is when I got them at ~8-9 wks old, Marble weighed 2.5 lb and Mia weighed 2.3 lb so I never really anticipated having 2 girls with such different weights when grown.

I have one. Harlequin is 7.4 pounds. She's a year and a half old now so I don't think she'll be getting bigger... I held off on spaying her in hopes that she would catch up to her littermates in growth but she never did (never went into heat either, and she was spayed at 9 1/2 month old.) She did grow some after spaying, she weighed 5 pounds 10 oz. when she was spayed (according to the vet record). She is not underweight though, just has a very small frame.
She was one of the runts in the litter but the other two runts eventually caught up to the rest of the litter and she stayed small. I think all her littermates are all right around 10 pounds now except for my big guy Spot who is 14 1/2!

Here is a photo of Harlequin and her littermate Spot:

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
I only have one petite in my house. I used to have 2 but herc is getting quite porky and solid since getting neutered. He has steadily been growing since sept not just in weight but all around its like having his hoo hoos was a growth stunter. Gigi however was spayed nov 7th and doesn't even have a poochie where her incision was. She has super longgggggg legs and a longggggg tail but her body is that of a itty bitty kitty. The only thing that makes me laugh about it is that she looks so tiny yet she feels so solid when ypu pick her up and she is the loudest runner out of the household. She sounds like a hippo running down the hallway. But to look at her she looks like a science experiment gone wrong hopefully she shapes up and starts looking normal. She's ten mths old now so by feb I hope she looks like a normal cat haha

LOL, Ginger makes the biggest "thuds" wherever she walks or jumps. It cracks me up that such a little cat makes such a big noise!
I want to see pics of the long legged long tail itty bitty kitty cat!

I wanted to add some pictures so you can see how tiny Sweetness is, she is only 6 lb (barely) and she is four years old. She is not bony at all, just tiny!
We have some rescue kittens that are as big as her at 4 months old! lol

I have some tiny fosters. Delilah who is four months old is only 2.5 pounds (we're trying to figure out if there is anything wrong with her though). Little Gray who is about 6 months is only 4.5 pounds. His mom, Sheba, is only 6.5 pounds and she's even a bit round around the waist.
It's funny how much cats can vary. I have one adult male who is only 7 pounds and completely proportional and then I have another adult male who is over 14 pounds and completely proportional. They are all different and that's why I love them.

My son has had Calista for over 15 years. In her first vet visit after we brought her home from the pound, the vet said she was probably a petite cat. She's been healthy most of her life, except 3 years ago when she got an infection in her uterus and finally had a hysterectomy. She's been fine since. She still looks like a 6 month old and charms her way into even the strongest cat haters' hearts. Being all white, except her black tail & two large black patches between her ears, she usually aims for the person in dark clothes. She's the princess & knows it, demanding love & affection from everyone.

I have a petite tabby named Minny, shes 2 and she weighs 6.5 lbs. I asked the bet about that and she said that she was perfectly healthy shes just a petite tabby and that petite tabbies dont get much bigger than 7lbs. I also Have a calico tabby who seems to have stopped growing. Shes 8 months old and still the size of a kitten. I'm worried about her
