I am running late again, but yet I am still here online

It's going to be mild today at -2. Off to work in a bit, and the nDH and I are having a date night tonight!

We are both done exams and so we are going to dinner and half price movie!

DH and I decided last night to host an "orphan Christmas" party at our house this year. This is where we invite anyone who doesn't have family close by who will be spending Christmas by themselves. Since our neighbors already asked if they can hold their family's Christmas at our house this year (our living room is bigger than theirs and we are smoking all the meat), we decided what the heck, what's another dozen people or so? We've done orphan Christmas's at other peoples houses and they are always fun.

So today I start the deep clean on the house. I'll get to things like cleaning all the ceiling fans, the basement and wash the curtains - things I haven't gotten to in a long time.

Another shelter day today, catching up on paperwork and a volunteer orientation to do.

I think the vet is sending over new puppies for adoption today too so I will play with them a bit too!

I have a meeting this afternoon right after work, so today will be a long one. DH will be in charge of dinner this evening.

I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow....it's past time for a day away from the office. There are still a few batches of cookies to be baked and lots of cleaning to be done. I still have some shopping to do for my husband, too. Gifts to wrap. All that good stuff. I really need a day off work to get some things done.

Morning!

Todays' my last day of work before vacation so it's a bit of a challenge to drag myself out the door.

No real plans other than to get through the day and sleep in tomorrow.

Not much happening here. I have physio today but may end up cancelling. More and more I'm leaning towards having mono (thx DH...or was it me that started it

) which would truly explain alot of whats been going on over the past couple weeks. I could very well be wrong, but I'm not going into the doc for the test to prove yah or nay because a: I don't want to get others sick (no matter what I have) and b: my immune system is already under the weather, I don't want to catch anything else and c: there's nothing that can be done about it anyways.

I need to find myself a bubble to live in thru virus seasons LOL.

Morning! It's dark and dreary today. Guess it's going to rain. The weather matches my mood. Going to keep it low key today. I will spend most of my day stalking the SS thread.

Well another busy day to get through. At least it's not very cold here yet about -1C today. I had to drop huby off at the hospital for surgery this morning, and hopefully that all goes well. I'll be picking him up this evening and I suppose I'll be playing nurse for a while.

Morning,

I just wandered in to work a few minutes ago. I was up fairly late again last night writing, so I was slow getting up and out the door. I have a training class at 7:30 on Thursday and Friday, so that's going to be painful.

It's going to be primarily a planning day. I have to start preparing for some time in the lab next week and I have to get a couple of sims started. After work, I'll swing by the gym. Looks like rain this afternoon, so it may be a dark, dreary drive home.

Well today I got into work an hour late but that's because yesterday my boss told me to come in an hour late. That was nice to get a bit of extra sleep time. Of course Genever was bugging the heck out of me during that extra hour anyway...

I have to go do my weekly site inspection at the TP factory, and that's about all that really needs to get done for work today. It's so slow, I hate it. I am really surprised I still have a job. Not sure how long it will last though. Anyway, I'm here for now.

Tonight I might make some cookies, or I might leave it til tomorrow. I want to take some to this Duffy electric boat ride thing we're doing on Thursday. There's a Stone Brewery night tonight at a local bar which we are probably going to go to early on and the get back home early. I have a fasting blood test tomorrow morning so I don't want to be out late anyway.

Good afternoon all,

I don't have anything exciting to say (too many meetings!), but I hope y'all have great days.

My daughter (4 yo) has her Christmas program tonight, and she is playing the role of a Christmas tree.

I can't wait to see how it goes.

Hopefully her performance won't be too wooden.

I'll try to be more talkative tomorrow. LOL
