Hey all, new to the forum. I'm curious, how many nicknames do you all have for your cats? Most of my friends with cats have like one or two nicknames for their cats, but I have a myriad of names for them. Just curious

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
Our cats all have a bunch of nicknames. Hercules is either called herkie hunka hunka hercules or the other cat. He is only called hercules if he is in trouble. Fatman is called big kahuna of thunder butt his real name is bubba but when we adopted him fatman stuck and he only answers to fatman or big kahuna. Gidget is our baby and she's either called gigi little cat g-booboo and now with the christmas tree gigi the jungle cat. Little cat and the other cat are nicknames bf uses to talk to them cuz he only calls fatman by his name not gigi or herc. But the weird part is with all the nicknames they all will come running to any of those names.

You got that right! In the case of the perfect Alley Cat who has never in three years got on a counter or any furniture (other than our bed) or never broken anything (but is afraid of everything, too), I just call her Alley.

In the case of Persi I usually call him my son (and my sun) since I never had human children. But when he is bad; well, the moderators on this wonderful site just would not allow me to say the "nicknames" that come to mind. Believe me, I keep inventing new ones all the time...

I call Genever G-cat, babygirl, hey lady, crazy lady, b**** (if she bites me hard).. I think I called her boogerface a few times too when she was not on her best behavior.

BF calls her G-cat and sweetpea a lot, or buggalugs if she's being a naughty kitty.

Penny's main nickname is "Pumpkin" because she answers to "Hi Pumpkin"
(She doesn't answer to her real name!
)

Daisy has more than 1 nickname e.g. "Daze" and "Ms. Fatone" (named after Joey Fatone) but mostly "Daze"

We have a few nicknames for our babies but they have a few prominent ones.

Caponey: Mr. Baloney (it rhymes with his name and he is roundish like baloney lol) and Prowler (he is always stalking his little tweeting bird then walks around meowing like he made a huge kill)

Bugsy: He actually comes running when one of us screams "OMG! Look what your cat did!?!" he also comes to pukeface, Mr. Annyoingface, Spazzoid.

Bonnie: Her nickname is Sexy since shes everyoneâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s girlfriend. We also call her Girlfriend, boogers, and hobag since she makes love to all the boys in the house lol.

I have a thing with rhyming, repeating the name, and/or changing the first letter.

Kipper is Kip, Kippy, or Tip-Tip.

Mira is Mira Mira, Baby Girl, Princess, Pretty Girl, Honey Bunny, etc.

Armani is Armani-Mani or Big Guy.

Simon is Timon-Wimon. I also recite the nursery rhyme "Simple Simon was a pieman." LOL.

Penny is Penny-Wenny.

Daisy is Daisy-Waisy or Daisy-Waisy Princess.

Callie is Cawwie (making a w sound for the Ls) or Cawwie-Wowwie.

Missy is Fatty (I only mean it in the most endearing of ways).

And Milo is Mi-yo (silent L noise) or Pup-Pup.

It depends on whether they are behaving or not! Just kidding: They NEVER misbehave!

We just call them by their names to avoid confusion and reinforce their identities.

Isabell: Isie, Orangey, Baby Kitty, Kitty Kitty, Meanie Butt, Furball

EG: Blackey, Shadow, Velcro, Da Man, Baby Kitty, Kitty Kitty, Furball #2, #2

...Yea I'm not so original with my nicknames. EG got Shadow cause hes a black tabby and follows me around constantly. Also Velcro is because he will dig his claws into anything he can when you pick him up. The most is used is Orangey and Blackey which is just the color of thier fur.

Both my cats will answer to "Hey Furball", "Kitty Kitty" and "Baby Kitty" as well.
