I just sit on the couch and clip them. I always make sure to catch them so I can throw them away. Nothing is more disgusting than toenails strewn all over the carpet/couch.

As for nail buried..do you mean Ingrown toenails?

For pain my dad used to soak his foot in warm water with two tablespoons of epsom salt for about 10 minutes. If the pain was really bad he would do it twice.

I know it's compelling to do so (and I am guilty of this) but don't try to cut it out yourself.

Sometimes those errors in translation are just hilarious.

As for the question, I just use toenail clippers. I don't trim them very often. Generally, just when I can start feeling them in my shoes. I don't trim them very short, so I rarely have problems with ingrown toenails.

I agree with Grogs, the translation can be funny

I use toenail clippers, and try to catch them so they don't land all over.

I don't suffer from ingrown toenails but I am missing most of 2 toenails. I lost the nails as a child and they never grew back
So those toes hurt most when something is dropped on them

I use toenail clippers, I catch them and put them in the garbage. I don't have ingrown nails. Dh and my oldest daughter do have ingrown toe nails.

I agree this question is funny ...
I clip mine with toenail clippers, I've never had ingrown nails. One of my biggest pet peeves, is when my toenails aren't clipped low enough and I can feel the nail touching my socks....
So I make sure they are always clipped really short.

Rigel, you can go to a podiatrist and he will deaden your toe, then remove the ingrown part and put this stuff where the ingrown nail use to be to prevent regrowth.

I had to have that done and I cannot tell you what a relief that was!!!

I think you were trying to say "funniest in the end". "Funniest in the bottom" sounds like a bad trip to the proctologist.
The picture of that in my head gave me a good laugh.

I actually cut mine in the bathtub when I am done shaving because they are all soft and easier to cut.

Then they just go down the drain with the water

I generally trim mine here at my desk and throw all the clippings into the trash. I do the same with the cats claws.

I don't get ingrown toenails now, but I'll sometimes get skin built up right there and have to keep that trimmed.

Best tip to avoid ingrown toenails: wear proper fitting shoes. Most of the time wrong fit or a toe shape that presses on your toes is the cause.

When I had to wear running shoes for school PE I'd get ingrown toenails (toe shape doesn't fit my wide foot - I'd have to wear mens now) - I just kept them trimmed. If it got bad I'd dig it out and use peroxide and medicine on it (no doctor, my father wouldn't have allowed it). I just ignored any pain during that.

If it's a frequent problem see a doctor and make sure you get proper shoes.
