I know a few people are having a hard time figuring out who their SS and others are trying to throw their recipients off track.

For those of you that have already shipped your package, did you put a hint inside?

I didn't, but also didn't try to conceal my identity at all.

Without answering your question directly.

I will say that if my recipient cannot figure out who I am, I will mail them a "final clue" that will be a dead giveaway.

Is there a time limit as to when we need to reveal ourselves?

Some people never reveal themselves.

If you post that you got a package, I know who your SS is, even if you don't.

I fully intend on revealing myself if my recipient cannot figure it out on their own. It will just be after xmas tho.

Same here.

Last year I tried to be anonymous but my SS recipient didn't even try to figure out who I was, so I ended up spilling the beans myself.

This year I didn't bother trying. I'm sure the person who gets my package will easily figure out who sent it

I sent a few clues but I am not sure some are obvious. I wasn't sure what to put. I even pmed someone for help.

Leslie did a wonderful job. Her card had turtles on it. If she didn't mention owning turtles in the hints thread, I would have been lost.

I sent my SS a PM to let her know my identity about a week after she got the package. I'm not very good at being a Secret Santa.

Well, there is a return address label so location might give me away, but there is also a clue in the package.

As well as some of the gifts themselves...

I've actually always wanted a snake but I suspect DH would be less than happy if one showed up.

I put a hint in. I wasn't sure if I was going to but I decided to at the last minute.

I put in a tiny hint but like someone else mentioned my surname is on the package for shipping reasons.

Hiding from my SS!
I did not put my name on the package but my address might give it away.

I did leave a hint inside the package which is probably pretty obvious.

I was shipping overseas this year, so the customs declaration puts paid to any thought of secrecy.
I tend not to put specific clues in the package, but don't go out of my way to conceal my identity, and do try to include local stuff, which can function as clues to some extent. Jenny didn't have any trouble figuring me out.
