Or Pregna-saurs as Brandon calls us

Is it just me or are we everywhere?!
Everywhere we go I see pregnant women!!

So how far along are you?
Boy or girl?
Do you have a name picked out?
When's your due date?
How much have you gained?

If you aren't pregnant, or already had your babies, how did it go? Share with me!!
It's been 8 years since I had Deacon and I miss having my pregnant friends around to gossip and "baby talk" with

I'll start!

I'm 32 weeks
It's another boy
His name is Gage Keith
I'm due 2/3/10
I've gained about 18lbs
I've been a high risk pregnancy because I've had to have a cervical cerclage due to a weak cervix
But everything is going well so far

Congratulations!

I had my baby boy, Landon John, on September 21, 2009, he was 8lbs 7oz & 21 inches long
I was induced at 39 weeks 4 days due to pre-eclampsia, which was awful! I was on bedrest for awhile & hated it

I gained 32lbs while pregnant, and lost 20lbs in the hospital and I am now down 5lbs past by pre-pregnancy weight

I had a wonderful induction/delivery, and I can honestly say that my epidural was perfect and I don't regreat having it at all!
No pain = a happy me! LOL!

Nope, not just you.

I'm 21 1/2 weeks with our first!
She is a girl, we just found out last Monday.

No names picked out yet, but at the top of the massive list so far is Maya or Julianna.
I'm due 4/22/10.
I've gained 6 pounds as of 2 weeks ago... No clue what I'm up to now.

I was high risk due to OHSS (ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome), but then that went down a little so I was free and clear for a whole two months... Then we found I have complete placenta previa (placenta is completely over the cervix), so I'm back at a potential high risk level...

Congratulations on your little boy!

Congratulations to everyone on your babies and babies to be!

I had my daughter on Feb 17/09, we waited to find out the sex of the baby. I was convinced I was going to have a boy so it was quite the surprise!

She was delivered by planned c-section due to a breech presentation at 38 weeks. They were estimating her weight to be 8-9 lbs so they opted to deliver 2 weeks early. Turns out she was 5 lbs 12 oz and 19 inches!

My pregnancy was great. I was sick for the first 14 weeks and then after that it was smooth sailing. I gained 36 pounds during my pregnancy and I'm still waiting (and working on) the last 9 lbs!

What a great thread! I knew there were a few of us who were expeciting, or recently had little ones!

I'm 15wks 3 days
Still don't know what I'm having, hoping to con my dr into telling me on Tuesday, but prob won't happen until January
Names: B: DJ (David Jon) G: Lexi Taylor
I am due 6/4/10
And so far I am -1lb, but earlier this week I was +1lb, but tomorrow is my "offical" weigh in day, I hope my doc doesn't yell at me, I really am trying to gain!

I see happy new mom's are posting in here too. I had my son April 5th 2009. I went into labor in the wee hours and by 1:20pm our son was born. It was a fast delivery but scary. We both almost died but we are both healthy now. He was 8lbs 9oz 21 inches. They expected a 6-7lb baby. OOPS! He is now just over 8months old and in the 75% percentile for height and head size. His weight, despite his birth size, is 50% percentile. He hates the bottle anymore and LOVES baby food
We are still waiting on his first teeth!

He had the cord wrapped around him twice & they didn't have time for a C-section (which takes 15mins). My uterus wasn't toning aka I was bleeding out for over an hour. I had some tears that aren't normal too. In the end the specialist was able to do repairs without surgery. I had my epi topped off more than once b/c I couldn't go under for surgery. They said it was too much for my body to handle. I didn't get to hold my poor boy for hours. I saw him for 2secs before he had to go back. Since then DH is the comforter when he doesn't feel good.

I think pregnancy is in the water the last 2 years

I go to the Dr again tomorrow. I've been going once a week for the last 2 months
But I know it's for the best.

Lately I've started to question my Drs a bit. I'm already starting to drop and having Braxton Hicks so I'm going to ask them tomorrow if they could be off on my due date. Going by my last period I'm actually due the middle of Jan
But of course they are the professionals so I left it up to them

I'm not sure if you all remember NoRachelHere but she's also pregnant too!
She's 6 weeks behind me and having a little girl

The weekend before I had DA they had 12 births!
I think the slow economy is a baby maker.

Four of us on my street had children this year.

Oh wow! Thank goodness everything came out ok!
I had complications when I had Justice too. It was the scariest thing I've ever went through

It actually wasn't scary b/c they didn't tell us until an hour or so later. We knew there was something wrong b/c of how millions of people rushed in. I am glad they didn't tell us much of anything except we need to vacuum and deliver NOW. That night everything sunk in. I don't think I will be having anymore children.

Well, as Brandon said "What else was/is there better to do when you're broke?"

Exactly!
Many people haven't been traveling far for vacations either.

LOL, I had to do this, the first "old" mom to post, but I did want everyone to know how different having a baby in this day and age is compared to 25+ yrs ago.
Mother to three, first one girl born 2/23/79, due date was 2/6/79, natural birth, no epidural, no pain meds, 6 lb 11 oz, 20 1/2 inches, from start to finish 36 hours labor.
2nd girl born 5/1/80, 7 lbs 10 oz, 19 inches, due date was 4/20/80, also natural birth, 12 hours labor
3rd boy, born 10/28/84, 7 lbs, 7 oz 20 inches. yet another natural birth without drugs. 11 hours labor.

Throughout all of my pregnancies I did not have a single ultrasound, and during each labor I was up walking the floor until probably an hour before each birth, so the sex of each baby was a surprise!

I do not mean to insinuate that natural birth is the way to go, for each of us are different and have the right to make different choices. Natural births just happened to be my choice.
Congrats to each of you! I think there is nothing anymore special than feeling that tiny bundle of life growing and moving inside of you.

On a lighter note, mark my words...you will never ever again go to the bathroom by yourself until they leave home.

Wow typically labor is shorter with each birth.

I know this all too well!
My boys are 8 and 12 and if it isn't a cat or dog wanting in the bathroom, it's a kid!

That's gotta be why there's so many!

Though that's not our reason, we tried hard for this baby!

I'll be 17 weeks along tomorrow
Due date is May 24, 2010
We find out the sex on January 5th
We have an idea of names, but wait until we know the sex
I've just started gaining weight in the last few days, so now I'm only 6lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight

I'm high risk due to my open heart surgery and because of our previous stillbirth (we assume it was a cord accident, but they can't be sure so are taking all precautions).

I'm just starting to feel little occasional movements, which I love
