Lion cuts and kitty coats

Ruby is my shelter kitty, I picked her up back in July (I think) and she was matted and dirty and all that. I got her big matts clipped and her teeth cleaned but she kept getting little matts and she won't let me clip them so I decided to bite the bullet and take her to work with me to give her a lion cut.

Back when I first got her

After her spa day- she looks so funny and tiny but I think she likes it

Sticking her tounge out at Chester

Can you spot the kitty? Hint: I think she was cold

so I made her a jacket

I made one for Nermal too (he shivers in the winter) but he thinks it weighs 10pounds and pretty much refuses to walk with it on

Aw, I love lion cuts, and I've never seen a calico with one. Ruby is so pretty. Poor Nermal, being soooo weighted down. They are both just too cute.

Ruby is lovely! I think the lion cut looks adorable on her. She also has very beautiful markings and eyes.

Aw! Ruby looks so cute in her lion cut! It's neat to see the markings on her skin, isn't it? She reminds me alot of the calico girl I had growing up...she is 15 yrs old now and lives with my parents. I miss the old girl sometimes!

Awww, adorable!! Seeing this the weekend, made me feel better about shaving my cat. I didn't know how he'd fare with the winter, and he HATES being wrapped up, but so far, so good. She is so lucky to have you!!

I've always thought Squirt feels better after her grooming/bath/shave. She's more lively. I usually have her done in the spring so that it grows back in the winter months. By the time its time to groom her, the hair on her belly is dragging the floor. Her fur is so fine it literally floats through the air and I have to change my furnace filter about once a month due simply to car hair.
