I hate that one too..

Also "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" is the stupidest song I have ever heard. I want to smash the radio when it comes on..

Ohmigosh. Boring, boring, boring. 12 times boring. It makes me want to scream and run from the room.

I have to say, "Little Drummer Boy" runs a close 2nd for me. Although I loved it when it was first popular.

I love, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". It was so perfect in the movie Meet Me In St. Louis, and I'll always have this picture of Judy Garland in my head - singing it to her very sad little sister, Margaret O'Brien. I can't help it. It may make me cry, but I love it.

ONe of the worst for me is Bruce Springstein's "Santa Claus is coming to Town". There are many who should just stay away from any Christmas songs.

Just purely as an aside, a few years ago, 3 of the top 4 Christmas songs that year were by Jewish performers.

There was discussion on NPR this week about the dearth of Hanukkah songs. Someone said it's because the Jewish writers are all busy writing Christmas songs.

There was a piece about a pretty decent Hanukkah song by a senator. Orin Hatch, maybe?

Here you go, you can see the story and listen to the song. Better than "Dreidel, dreidel, dreidel."

Eight Days of Hanukkah

Oh, no! I forgot about the Christmas Shoes! Nothing says happy holidays like a horrible, sappy, depressing song.

I have a new hated song that I loved as a child: The Chipmunk's "The Christmas song" . I want to take the hula hoop and smack Alvin over the head with it.

It's on the Christmas song track at my local grocery store. I've been in that store 3 times in the last week and heard it every time. I asked the check out clerk how long the music track is and she said about 30 minutes. Imagine having to work in that store and hear that song every half hour all day long!

I had that album as a child and loved it then.

Can't really say that there is any Christmas song that I dislike....(hate is such a strong negative)....or at least I can't think of any at the moment. However, this one by Aaron Neville always gets my toes tapping when I hear it on the radio.....

I hate any & all Christmas music & would happily burn every trace of it I can find.

There is one that grates on my nerves to no end they play at work all the time - I can hum a segment of it, umm....can't think of any lyrics (I know the cook lady hums it in the movie the Secret Garden). But there is a chunk that is violin music that is like nails on a chalkboard!

Hee! Bob Rivers! Love it all, "Walking Round in Women's Underwear" is a personal favorite. Need to check out Jingle Hells Bells.

Add me to the list that can't stand Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmas Time. *gag*

A woman after my own heart. I absolutely HATE Christmas music. I make the Grinch look like Bing Crosby in White Christmas.

I don't hate all aspects of Christmas, just most of them. I don't believe in the religion behind it (or any religion for that matter), nor do I see the point of a Christmas tree. How did a baby being born in a stable and receiving gold, frankincense and myrrh turn into a guy in a sleigh being pulled by 8 flying reindeer and delivering presents to 100 million homes in one night by going down chimneys and putting presents under trees?

To ths day, and she pased 20 years ago, I am a big crying mess when I hear that song.
I used to hate that song until I got a really good goth version. When the distorted electric punk guitar starts in on the 2nd verese it makes everybody else's skin crawl 'cept mine...
