Be Careful What You Wish For...

I am up again at 5am, and why, well ask the fur face who is now camped out on my pillow which she stole while I got up to go pee, and I woke up because she kept hitting me in the head to let her under the covers.
When I first got Ginger, she was an unsoclized wild child. If you reached out a hand to pet her, you would draw back a trip to the doctor. She bit and clawed to hurt, not warn. I have many, many scars. She knew no boundrys because she was never taught them.
In those first days I wished she would be a cuddle lap kitty all smooshy and lovey, a cuddle bug. I wanted to be able to give her kisses on her face without having to be identified later by my dental records.
Fast forward to now, 3 years, I have one smoosh of a cat, way smoosh. Still a bit bitey, but we are working on that. She must be glomed onto me while I sleep.
It is very cute and I would not change it for the world, but man, those little dagger feet walking on me as she tries to get comfy camped out somewhere on my feet, legs, torso, its a winter thing. I think she just likes walking on me. lol.
I really have my lovey cat, at a price to my sleep, lol.

After 5 years I finally got Topaz to acknowledge I am good for more than opening cans of food and now get told when it is bedtime as she sleeps by my head so I can pet her.

I know it's aggravating, but look at how far she's come! What a wonderful testimony to your love and care of her!

During the winter months, both my kitties show up in my bed around 3AM to snuggle and find a comfy place to sleep. I, however, am not quite so comfy!

My cats sleep downstairs, and usually with Mike's parents. They sleep with me when I take them upstairs, but I rarely do that. When I do take them upstairs with me Mittens usually only sleeps at my feet, Monster will either sleep in between me and Mike, or he will sleep on me. He doesn't care what position I am in, he will find a way to sleep ON me, not next to me. And, he will leave and come back purring extemely loud and kneading on whatever, my arm, my back, my stomach or boobs, all depending on the way I am laying. Call me weird, but I love, love, love when he kneads on me.

As stated above, Monster usually sleeps in the bed with Mike's parents. Mike's mom and Monster bonded during my stay in the hospital, when Monster was about 8 or 9 months old. So now, he cuddles up in her chest, or her arm, or he will squeeze himself next to her, and she will have to move over so he won't fall off the bed. She always tells me how he wakes her up by kneading on her boobs.
Just the other night though, he woke her up by kneading on her throat. She absolutely LOVES him though, and doesn't get mad really. She did say yesterday that she might start closing her bedroom door at night so that he doesn't wake her up by loving on her in the middle of the night.

Aww, yeah middle of the might kitty-love can be annoying, but it's so precious!

Fae has lost her bedroom privlages after we go to sleep because scratches the oriental rug (that belongs to the land lord, not us) while we sleep. But Man when i am watching TV in bed does she want to lay right in my face! lol. Most nights i can only see the top half of the TV framed by some kitty ears.
