I cannot believe it was a year ago already. Seems like just yesterday I finally got the ok from DH to get a cat-----spent a few days exchanging emails ---- picked Kizzy up on Dec.9 2008, he was 4.5mos old.
At first his name was going to be Lucky, but I wanted something a little more unique, with meaning behind it. Lucky became Kismet aka Kizzy.
We had a rocky start in that Kizzy came to me with ringworm and URIs (repeated) and he was slightly underweight.
He spent the first while here, isolated away from my dog, in an upstairs bedroom. I would spend hours and hours in there with him...brought my laptop in there too.
The first 6mos were rough with health issues..... He wasn't full up on his initial shots till he was 11mos or so due to repeated URIs and rodent ulcer.
He thrived under my care, and quickly became friends with my daughters, and allowed us to love him and return that love.
He made a couple new friends in May: (Kitchi and Pax
)
He bonded quite well with them. Kizzy is such a tolerant cat when it comes to kittens.... or even with my dog
Kizzys brother (from another litter) came to join him in July. (Thats what I got Kizzy for his bday, another play mate)
