I'm having a hard time naming my future cat who I'm getting this Wednesday if everything goes correctly! I know it will be easier to name him once he's here with me physically, but I'd like some ideas from you guys ahead of time.

I'm looking for a special, unique name. Not anything like Kitty or Pumpkin! Thanks for your help.

He's the siamese mix on the left with the beautiful blue eyes. It's a poor quality picture but the only one I have at the moment.

Mabrook (congratulations) on your impending new edition!

Mishmish (apricot) is a popular name for orange kitties in arabic. I didn't name my Squeaky that, but now I'm almost kicking myself because its too cute. I guess I'll just have to get another orange cat at some point

Well isn't he a handsome little guy! I say he is gonna need a manly name.

Bolt, Sebastian and Toby come to my mind for this kitty.

Bolt as is short for thunderbolt, and the other two just popped in my head. When I name cats I just look at them and its like they just look like a name to me. Maybe I'm weird.

Since it looks like he is a flame point how about something related to his coloring like Torch.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Oh he is a handsome fella!

CONGRATULATIONS!
You must be busting with excitement! Oh - and welcome to TCS!
You've certainly found the right place!

Reading through this, Ferguson totally jumped out at me.

But here's a link - I chose male Hawaiian names, but if you check it out, you can see that you can choose from a lot of languages! Once he's been there a few days, you can find a name that fits a quality.

Edited to add - I just went to Irish male names, and it turns out Fergus means strong man.

over the hills and far away...
When I named my little guy I made sure his name would be easy to say, and able to be turned into a cute little nick name !
Names that end with a Y or I are the probably the best. Then again I call him Toki, Tokster, Tokipoo (yeah i know its silly) Tokums ...etc.
You just can't help it though, it's funny what a cuddly little kitten can bring out of people

Though better yet, don't rush. Wait a few days, a name will probably jump out at you and you'll know it was made for him !

good luck!

One of my former immates was named Graylin. I thought that was the most beautiful, unusual name. I told his brother I was going to name my next cat after him (but my next cat was Daisy.) So I vote for Graylin.

He's adorable, congrats! I don't have any names in mind specifically but the thought of something Greek is coming to mind
