I don't want to be controversial here but ....
those precious cat's lives will be cut short because of their caregivers ignorance about the destructive power of morbid obesity in cats. I wish we could help them.

I am stressed...
pass me a Twinkie.

^I agree with you. Extra weight has risks for everyone, human and animal alike and isn't really something to be celebrated as a positive.

Of course I'm not saying that fat kitties don't need love, too.
Just that they need love and extra TLC to get them healthy.

People who think its cute for a cat to be obese need to be educated on how unhealthy it makes a kitty ........ please reconsider making it a "cute cat thing" because although all cats are cute obese ones can have serious health problems

I love my chubby kitty but...she and I are both on a diet. She's doing much better than me. Maybe I should have my husband control my portions like we control hers

Sorry if this seems rude. But, seriously, anyone who really loves their cat, would NOT let their cat get morbily obese.. It is just as bad as those parents on Maury who's children are 3 years old and weigh almost as much as I do - They don't want to put their kids on a diet to get them to a healthy weight, because they don't want to "starve" their kids. A lot of those parents want help, but some of them BRAG about how much they feed their kids and how much their kid weighs - as if being 2-3 yrs old and weighing 90 lbs is a good thing.

If you really love your pet, and that pet is overweight, you would try to get their weight down in a HEALTHY manner. It is not fair to the animal, and their life will be cut short because of their obesity.

I see an overwieght cat and want to get it off of dry, put it on grainfree wet (or raw) and get it slowly to a healthy wieght.
