Good morning everyone,

Had 1" of snow in the night, actually the weather channel is in E. Aurora, NY this morning. That is about 30 miles south of us. They are really getting hit with snow.

Lots of wind, but we are cozy with the cats and a wood fire....I like these kind of days sometimes.

Have a great day all!

Morning! Just a dusting of snow on the ground from last week. It's too cold now to snow (-32 Celsius with the windchill) . I hope it stays this cold all the rest of the winter and then we won't get anymore snow!!

Working today. Meeting this morning and the morning free to go over some of my orientation needs and then I have to prepare for this afternoons clinic.

When I get home this evening I have to make 2 dozen muffins to take to work tomorrow. We're having a huge breakfast and each area in the building were given an item type to bring. Our prep room got "muffins". Another "cheeses" and one "meat" I think one even got "eggs" At least ours was pretty clear cut and relatively cheap to do. I suspect that there will be a lot of store bought or Costco muffins. But I decided to bake mine. One of the guys in our room is on vacation but still wanted to contribute. So I told him I'd bake an extra dozen muffins for him and he'll buy me lunch when he gets back.

So hopefully it will be a good day.

Good morning all!

Didn't sleep too well last night for some reason. I went to bed around 11:30 and I was exhausted. Didn't drift off until about 1 AM though,
. I then I woke up at 5:30 and couldn't go back to sleep, so I've had a lazy slow morning.

About to iron my scrubs and get some breakfast before leaving for work. Work until six and then home to finish decorating the tree. Who knew it would take so many lights? I should really learn to listen to Josh. "Go ahead and get 4 more strands." Me in the store: "Well surely 3 will be plenty..." Half an hour later "Kate, we need another strand of lights. Why did you only get 3?" Whoops.

The kitties are busy playing. They're all interested in the tree but have discovered that mommy has a squirt bottle and will use it.

Mornin.

Still not much in the snow department....as in, I can still see the grass through what little we have.

Tis going to be another rest and recover day for me. I have a sinking suspicion that this winter is just going to be virus after virus after virus

I need to make up a list of xmas presents, and see where we're at for that. I did some online shopping yesterday, and DH went and got FILs present yesterday. But I have no idea where I'm at for my kids, and still have to find something for DH.

My mind is going nuts with all the things I need to do, but my body just isn't willing.

Have a good one.

Morning,

I'm going to be working from home today. Tre is sitting here on my lap "assisting" me. Hopefully I can get a good bit of work done today. I do need to run out briefly to do an errand, but other than that I'll be home all day. Something in the air seems to be bothering my allergies, so my eyes are red and irritated. I'm going to take some Benadryl and hopefully that will help. Other than that, not a lot going on.

Good morning all!

Hopped out of bed at 5:30 this morning, did a handful of push ups and then rode the ol' exercise bike for 30 minutes, going 8.4 miles in the process. I know that doesn't sound too far, but it was on the most difficult setting. So there! LOL

It was a whopping 7 degrees (F) on the way to work, with the windchill sitting at -11. It is freezing in my little cubicle, so I have the heater cranked up all the way.

I think I settled on a good Candy Cane Martini recipe last night, after trying out a couple of contenders. I may still need to do a little tweaking, but not too much. Hopefully I won't do so much more testing that I run out of all of my ingredients before my wife's cookie exchange.

I am taking tomorrow off to finish most of my Christmas shopping and do some more bonding with the kitties. I am not sure if I'll be here more or less, but we'll see. Maybe I'll sneak down to the computer room whilst the boys are sleeping.

Stay cozy!

Well we got a ton of snow and it's still coming! The wind was howling last night, still blowing now too.
Well I'm off soon to brave the elements. This snow does make it feel more Christmassy anyway.
Have a good day everyone!

It is so not a good day. I fell this morning in the parking lot at work. Yesterday when I came in, they were just starting to plow the lot, so there weren't any places to park. I parked in a space that was still snow-covered; and now it's frozen solid. Tried to be careful, but down I went. Not funny. It's pretty bad when the worst part of my route to work is the parking lot!

It's cold and the temp will decline during the day today. It's gusty, too, with some gusts around 50 mph. My husband asked that I not walk outside because it's just too nasty. I'll have to hit the treadmill tonight when I get home.

Have a good one!

Hello, thought I would test the waters of the daily thread

It was so cold this morning (how cold was it). It was so cold this morning, my ipod froze as I walked to work. Yes, literally froze. One minute, it was playing an NPR podcast, the next, the screen froze in place. It was also frozen into it's carrier, so I had to wait until I got to work and it thawed out before I could reset it. Windchill is -21F/-30C.

And for some reason this year, our landlady is deciding to be stingy with the heat. I don't think we could get it above 60 last night. I had to wear a hat and gloves to bed.

IA. If you need me, just meow..
It's COOOOOOLLLLLDDDD outside.
Last night the winds picked up after 10 inches of snow, brought the temp down to 0

Now today it's cold and sunny. Ironic isn't it? Dh needs to go out again and snowblow the drive and walkways. He removed 10 inches yesterday and now it's all blown over them again...

Today is our day off and we've decided to hibernate inside. I've got Xmas cards to finish and to tidy up the house so I'm plenty happy inside today. I've given bread and corn to the squirrels so their happy and the deer will be to tonight. They come looking for squirrel leftovers lol!

Hiding from my SS!
No snow here, though it did get below freezing last night. Its in the 40's now though. I'm hiding out inside as I did all my errands yesterday.

The kitties have been running around like crazy all morning, almost like a nip high but they haven't had any nip?!?!?! Now they have all passed out in a heap on the floor.

I am expecting several packages as well as one from my SS (whenever it comes) but the mailman still isn't here so the highlight of my day involves staring out the window waiting for the mail. Woohoo!

Morning.

Winchester- I hope you're not hurt/bruised too badly from your ice fall! Ouch! Ice is bad. You hit that point of unstableness and you know there's no going back no matter which way you try to throw your weight.

It's 44 out here this morning. BRR! I know, I know, that's like summer weather compared to most of you, but I'm a spoiled SoCal transplant! I like my 70 degree December weather! I hear about nasty east coast weather and I remember why I moved!

I'm still pretty bummed out about that dog I found yesterday that got let go by a jerk before animal control could come. If I see that security guard when I go back next week I am really going to yell at him. I'm sure it won't change his thinking, but at least it might make me feel a bit better. Grr.

So today is just work, and then hopheads beer tasting tonight. Should be a good one, instead of meeting at a bar, we're at the 'Solarium' on top of this nice oldish apartment/condo building downtown. 8 beers (tasters, not full pints!), pizza, snacks.

Between work and the tasting, I might work on putting the tree together. We were going to do it last night but BF was doing more unpacking and organizing instead, and then we watched a movie. He never seems interested in decorating it anyway, so I might as well just do it. I just can't wait to see how Genever will be with it! I can imagine her wanting to 'help', but then will she attack it or leave it alone? I shall find out soon.

Have a good day and be careful on ice and snow, whether walking or driving!

Cold here, too, -4°C with windchill of -9°C (25°F, windchill 16°F). Brrr... couldn't get tween daughter to wear her parka to school today! She wanted to wear a cotton hoodie, and her commute is one hour each way with lots of walking and waiting at bus stops, I believe 11 year-olds are pretty weird.

I'm goin' to walk downtown today, gloves... check. iPod... check.

Hi guys
Wish me luck, I have my last final today at 2:50!!
I am so exhausted and sleepy
After the final I am going to go home and take a nice and long nap. I am so sleepy that I just no longer even care how the final will go I just want to get to bed lol..
It is okay it is only multiple choice so I don't think m sleepiness will affect my ability to take the test...it's the type of thing where you either know it or you don't...
I am going to play call of duty after I wake up from sleep
