This baby is due in just 6 weeks now and work has become progressively more and more difficult. My plan has been to stop work just before Christmas; so about for the the last month. But I'm getting uncomfortable in lots of places and mentally just struggling. Normally the hop-to-it pace at work keeps me going. Right now there is no hopping. I'm making mistakes and completely forgetting to do things. We started my replacement last week Monday and she's doing ok.
So my boss and I decided to cut my hours to part time for the next 2 weeks basically. And I am so relieved. I know I haven't been a good employee lately; or at least not as good as I used to be! My boss has been very understanding and really doesn't want me to go yet; but boy oh boy am I ready! I have no idea how some people work till delivery. My co-worker says it's because they have to and I guess that makes sense. But even she, an experienced Mom and Grandma, has been concerned so I don't feel completely like I'm cutting out. I'm too tired to feel that way! Tired and sore.
Maybe now I can start enjoying the Christmas season!
