This happened last month. This is from when I took Fuzzy in for an emergency appointment and about two days before he died. I just wanted to get opinions on what happened between me and the doctor so I can decide whether I want to take my cats to him again.
So here's what happened:
I had to take Fuzzy in to see the "other vet", Dr. J, as he was the only one working and it was an emergency appointment. I prefer Dr. C and had never seen Dr. J before. At this point we weren't sure what was wrong since we were waiting for the results of the blood work. All we knew was that Fuzzy was not feeling well, was dehydrated, and hadn't eaten or used the litterbox in more than 20 hrs.
Here is what I said to Dr. J:
Should I continue giving Fuzzy his medication (Prednisolone)? He's supposed to get it every other day and his last dose was Thursday which means he would get it tonight (Saturday). He seemed perfectly normal until he started taking this medication.
So that's what I said to this doctor. He did not understand it and asked me several times to go over it. I asked him if I was confusing him and he said yes. I asked that because I wasn't sure if it was me or the situation that was confusing to him. I think I understand why he might have been confused, but I'm not sure. Is what I said confusing? What does it mean to you? If this doctor is confused by what I said, then it makes me question his intelligence.
