Morning folks!

We are getting a huge storm today, I am not looking forward to it
Thankfully I have underground parking at work now. But it will be a messy ride home.

Off to work in a bit..then to fitness class afterward.

I am so tired of studying. My exam is Friday and I can't wait for it to be over. I have been feeling generally run down ever sine I started cramming on Friday night.

Have a great day peeps!

We're getting a pretty big storm too Nat

Looks like 5-9 inches for us. FH left for class at 6:15 this morning. He has to drive 2 hours (in good weather!) so who knows how long this will take him. I'm just hoping and praying he'll make it there safely. Luckily for me, I had the rest of this week off, so I don't have to go to work. I hate driving in snow. I get made fun of by my coworkers because I hate to drive in it. Yeah, it's great.

Not doing anything today. Have to workout, probably twice, and most likely will have to clean off my car at somepoint and move it for the plow guys. But other than that, just laying around.

I am having issues 'getting going' today and am still not ready for work so I dont think I am catching my usual train
I dont have any meetings until lunch anyway. Why is it that the earlier you get up the longer it takes to get ready?

We seem to have missed most of the snow and just got lots of rain, although we still have a winter storm watch issued about 2 hours ago for heavy snow and strong winds with the same forecast saying 2cm of snow? I will never get our weather forecasts!

I'm still laughing at you guys with your snow warnings.... In my 7 day forecast they are calling for a total of 12cm in the next 7 days. We have finally some snow that stayed on the ground.... and some on the roads.

Ya'll can laugh at me when I finally get it. Snowbelt my butt.

Anyways, that outta my system, I was supposed to have a surgeon appt. today but had to cancel.... sore throat yesterday, sorer throat + congestion today..... don't need to spread my germs around a hospital.
I will have to wait for them to call me back, but its highly doubtful that my appt. will be any sooner than the new year

I guess its a blessing in disguise because aside from feeling sick, I'm having a very high pain day.....not nessecarily the best day to go in

Gonna take some supplements, and just rest for the most part today.

I will have to plead with hubby to go pick me up some stamps, since I have a pile of cards that need to go out.

Have a good day folks.

When I lived in London, we got more snow there on average than here in Ottawa I found...way more storms per year anyway. Ottawa does get alot of freezing rain though which is way worse.

We were supposed to get 15cm last night, we got none - our 7 day forecast says 15cm too. I have to laugh at the red flashing alerts for the local weather though, its Canada, I dont consider flurries a winter storm - and I hate winter

Matt is working north of Toronto though and he says it is bad up there

It is a pain pulling all the snow stuff out to find out it didnt snow

Really? Hmmmm. I actually kinda look forward to the first big dump.... me and the kids go out and play in it.

I think either we're gonna have a mild winter, OR, when the snow finally comes, we'll get 10 feet of it at once LMAO.

And you are quite correct, I would much rather snow than ice.... I had a scary incident involving ice, going off a backroad, with my explorer hanging of the edge of the road with a substantial drop, and 2 very scared children in the vehicle.

Yah, I don't like ice.

We have some freezing rain warnings currently.

Good morning all from the s. shore of Lake Ontario. We had freezing rain overnight, then a lull this morning and afternoon, then high winds maybe 60mph. Then.....blowing snow tonight and into tomorrow.

I don't mind tho, except for the winds. I live in a forest and absolutely hate wind. It keeps my stomach all tied in knots.

Me and DH will spend the day putting together our "new" computer desk. We got it off craigs list last night.

Keep safe and warm all!

Boy, isn't that the truth. I'm still sitting around my computer trying to get motivated to go. Tre, as usual, is sitting around trying to convince me not to go, but I really need to go in this morning. It should be quiet, though, so I should get some good quality work in. My boss/advisor has been distracted with some big project for the last couple of weeks, so I've hardly even seen him.

I'm finding that a change in surroundings from day to day helps break the monotony and keep me busy writing / researching.I also find that if I don't go to the gym at least a couple of times a weeks I start developing all these obnoxious aches and pains, so it's better to keep myself moving. I'll be stopping by the gym after work and then home for a quiet evening with the kitties.

Good morning all!

Woke up at 5:30 this morning and did 30 minutes on the ol' elliptical (sp?) machine. Man do I hate that thing (
), but it sure is a good workout. Then stumbled upstairs, hit the shower, and here I am at work.

I was happy to see that the couple of inches of snow we got last night melted, and that it was raining instead. Of course we are supposed to get hammered this afternoon, but I'll take what little delay I can get.

I am hoping to stop for some white chocolate liqueur on the way home, so I can mix up a some experimental batches of Candy Cane Cocktails. Do I have any volunteers to help me sample them?

Have a good day for me!

Trouts mom good luck on your exam
I know how you feel, I have been studying since Sunday for my two exams that are both tomorrow...I can't wait for them to be over!!
Today I'm going to study more, I just came back from the clinic because I had to get blood work for my physical next week...I think the woman hurt my vein or something cuz my entire arm hurts and it's blue all around the place where she inserted the needle

I got some peppermint chocolate that I'm going to snack on while I'm studying, and that's about all I have planned for today...just one more miserable day of me stuck at home and reading, but after tomorrow it will be all fun, I can't wait.

Good morning everybody!!!

I have 2 finals today, one in chemistry and one in my chemistry lab. Not too terribly worried about either. They shouldn't take me long either.

I have to go get our tiny little Christmas tree. We're getting a 3 foot Frasier fir,
. I didn't want to go all out with a normal size tree this year for multiple reason. I've got all the lights and decorations, so all I need is the tree. And I got a nice wreath for the door. And I also bought all the cat's stocking and decorated them last night
. They're adorable! I'll post pictures once they're dry.

Anyway, everybody have a great day!

Count me in for the Candy Cane Cocktails!
And ut0pia, if you would be so kind as to send some of that peppermint chocolate my way, I'd be a happy camper indeed.

Looks like I'll get my walk in today (I walk 3 miles every day, if not outside, then on the dreadmill.....I'm sorry, I mean the treadmill. Aw heck, it really is a dreadmill. *sigh* ).

A co-worker just told me that she wants to get rid of her elliptical machine and she knows that I'd kill to get my hands on one. So she offered it to me! Free! Yay! We're going up this weekend to take a look at it.

Our Christmas trees are all finally decorated. We have three trees in the house and we have to wire them to the baseboard of the walls......cats, you know. But they pretty much leave them alone now, other than trying to sleep in the branches, that is.

Have a good Wednesday!

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Managed the morning call, but Gary's got the flu or something again. Chris - obviously chronic pain and chronic insomnia deplete the body's immune system.

We got our 5 or so inches of snow, but it's raining now (though the snow is not melting), so we're gonna have a lot of ice, as it's supposed to get very cold again. This is just like last year - not a lot of snow, but a ton of ice. Hate it. Good thing we always travel with a lot of kitty litter in the van!

Sorry Dave, can't take you up on the drinks. Alcohol is a no-no in this home. Not by choice - it's a major pain trigger and doesn't mix with Gary's meds. Though we did used to love a bit of wine.... those days are long gone.

I will have a candy cane cocktail!

I could have stayed in my jammies and worked from home, I checked my messages and emails before I left and nothing and by the time I got into the office they were all cancelled so am just hanging out at the office by myself today.

Hmmm what time should I go home and should I go by the shelter on the way home...

Good afternoon...

Posting late today, yes... no snow here, just the usual sun. I think it's supposed to rain tomorrow again though.

I am worried about the stray dog I found, I really hope they keep him at the plant I was at until animal control picks him up. Poor guy.

I think we're doing the xmas tree tonight, that's the plan anyway. BF was taking the morning off work though so he might not be home til late. If I can manage to get it down from the shelf in the closet, I might start on my own. I'm interested to see how Genever will react.

That's about all. Drive safe in that bad weather!! Have a good day!
