Thank you
Yes, cats of all sizes pretty much act the same way. Even my cougar acts just like a domestic, but on a much larger scale. You should hear his purrrrs

Hmmm, I have been thinking about this for a long long time now. I have not made a decision yet and the thought for now, still stands at no. But, I have been wanting to add another wild baby to my family. I want to get a Caracal, but I am still researching with other owners, how a Caracal and bobcat would get along together. I have wanted to get a caracal from the beginning, when I got Amber. There are other, not so good things, that have taken place in my life during the past 15 months. So I have to get that in order first. (this has nothing to do with my cats or my health.) But gosh, I look at those Caracal faces and I just fall in love.
Here are some images of the beautiful Caracal

I've been told that caracals are super territorial and don't like sharing their space with other cats and sometimes other humans. This was from a caracal handler at the San Diego Wild Animal Park.

I am posting this, in case anyone here cares. As I am sure most of you may know by now, I as well as all exotic owner's in my state of Ohio, are facing a major challenge. Ever since that very very sad day in Zanesville, where all those exotic animals were set loose, the AR groups, mainly HSUS (Humane Society of the Untited States) has been up the governor's behind to get ALL exotics banned from the state IMMEDIATELY. Not so long ago, someone on this forum said we should work with HSUS on this issue. Well, as I have always said, you can not and we will not work with HSUS. But, here is what happens when you DO work with HSUS. You get a BAN!! And not just a ban, but a ban with NO grandfather clause. And not just a ban on private owners such as myself, but a ban on ALL USDA licensed facilities, including SANCTUARIES. Now, if anyone has been following this story, I am sure you heard that there IS a grandfather clause and that current owners would be able to keep their animals. But this is LIE!! There is a small grandfather clause that lasts for 2 years. After Jan 1st 2014, all owners, USDA facilities and USDA sanctuaries would have to, and I quote "DISPOSE" of their animals. If you do not DISPOSE of your animals, they will confiscate and KILL them!! Yes this IS what happens when you work with stupid HSUS!! For a while, people who owned hybrids such as Bengals and Savannahs, would have to do the same thing, dispose of their cats, but I think these animals have since been removed from the list.

What I am asking is this. If you want to help, everyone please log onto this site ----> OHIO.GOV and write or call the governor and state that you do NOT support a ban, but support FAIR REGULATIONS that promote safe, responsible ownership. Also state, that if it would come down to a ban, that all current owners MUST be allowed to keep their animals for the remainer of that animals life!! Now, if they ask where you live and if you do not live in Ohio, that is ok. If they state that we do not normally take messages or opinions from people who do not live in Ohio, then please ask them this. THEN WHY ARE YOU ALLOWING HSUS TO DICTATE WHAT OHIOANS CAN OR CAN NOT OWN?? HSUS is NOT a resident of the state of Ohio. So, take a look at my pictures. All my exotics face certain DEATH if HSUS and the governor get their way. Many of you felt I was a fool for stating facts about HSUS over the years. Well then, here is the darn PROOF!!!! HSUS wants my pets DEAD!! In fact, HSUS feels the date of 2014 is to long, they want action now!!

So, now I am faced with the fact that 1) I will have to move out of state and this means quting my job and trying to find a place to live with my animals in another state. Or 2) stay here and watch my animals be removed from my home and put to death. A move fully sponsored by HSUS. Now, some may say show me the proof, where are the links. I don't have to show any links. All you have to do is search exotic animal ban in Ohio and you will find all the proof you need. And everything I stated here is 100% fact!!
