Kitty coats?

Ruby was getting matted so I shaved her (I do groomings at work) which I didnt want to do but I figure naked it better than matted. She's got a heated pet bed and I'm going to make a cover for it so it's like a cozy little tent but I'm thinking maybe I should try and make her a little jacket. Does anyone have one or ever tried to make one?

I don't know about jackets for cats, but I've seen mews2much using sweaters for Cleo (I'm sure Wrinkles gets dressed too, but I haven't seen any pictures of that yet). A fabric or knit with a little stretch to it would probably be best to start with - something Ruby could get out of if she flipped and ran out of your reach.

I was going to try to crochet a little jacket for Darcy in the next week or so. I know she will hate it, but I think that it would be cute.

If it is to wear inside the house I would suggest a sweater or shirt rather than a coat. Those will probably stay on better than a coat.

I do have a coat I bought for Harley, I am planning to do animal-assisted therapy with her and I don't want her to freeze when going to/from the car in the Chicago winter! I found a coat made for toy-breed dogs on clearance (and I used a gift card I had won to buy it so it was basically free!)

Harley is used to wearing things so she doesn't mind the coat at all:
