Is my forever home

I am in the middle of making our shelter e-newsletter and thought I would share some of the ones I am including

Bambi & Thumper, who want to find a home together
These cuties have been with us for months after being surrendered, they were a bit shy at first but social now and are only about a year old.

Ginger, who is a 2 y/o female - absolutely no idea why we still have her, she cuddles in your arms, likes other cats etc

Huey, a 9 month old male who is probably the most affectionate cat I have ever seen, the second he sees you he jumps into your arms and kisses you and nuzzles against your neck - his problem, he has recurring herpes related URI

Maddie, a 2 y/o female - again sweet and affectionate

My current fave, and one I considered taking home when I was looking for a cat, Mush (or smushy mushy because I usually have him snuggled up in my arms) 6 months old, he was feral when he came in but has come around really well. We had one woman interested who changed her mind when she seen he had giardia on intake but other than that, no one seems to ask about him - I cant find his website pic so here is his Christmas picture, taken for his foster mom

Nala, a 4 y/o female who came in almost bald from a flea allergy and will need advantage for life just in case, a real sweetie who breaks my heart pawing as I walk by

Ross, a 1 y/o male who is sweet playful etc and no one looks at him

Sawyer, a 1 y/o male we have had for months. He is a little shy but spend 2 mins with him and he will be on your lap

I hope they all find homes soon!

I can never figure out why perfectly great cats don't attract attention. If we ever figure that out, we might solve a lot of problems.

Awww man, breaks my heart seeing all these kitties. They are all beautiful and sound like they would make wonderful companions. I hope each and everyone will find a furever home with owners willing to take care of all their needs for life

Hard to imagine why these sweeties are still looking for homes.
Hope your Christmas campaign helps them.

Awww, I love Sawyer and Ross, we have had 4 cats from a rescue centre and I have always asked when I have gone to look at the cats that they have had difficulty re-homing or had the longest first. Sometimes people just want an easy option but you get more rewards if you give the more difficult cats a chance I think. I hope all these kitties find their forever homes soon, wish I lived nearer, I would have one in a heartbeat. xx

I really have no idea on Ross, he was never shy, always affectionate but not so clingy that it turns people off. He has been tested with dogs and cats, the dog licked him and he licked the dog back and went to sleep and is fine with cats.

Sawyer was shy when he came in, so I can see why he stayed during kitten season but as you can see from his pose, he is well over that now

I think Ginger has an adoption going through tomorrow, they love her but there was a family member not present today they want to meet her so they are coming in tomorrow morning to all meet her.

Smushy Mushy's foster mom from when he was a kitten came in to see him today

I find it hard to believe no one wants Madie. She would be my pick. Love that face and the Tortie-Tude.
I hope all these guys find homes before 2010.

I know it kills you, too - to see those adorably sweet wonderful cats sit for months on end.

Mush went home today to the family I thought was taking Ginger, but since he is a shy boy I am happy they picked him instead

Huey found a home

and I think (fingers, toes and paws crossed everywhere) that Bambi & Thumper might be going home. The woman came in for a kitten and fell in love with them, but its a family decision since they wanted a kitten so they are coming back on the weekend with their children

As much as people like Nat and I rant about the bad days and the crying, it is actually very rewarding.

Although, I sometimes think I was better off when I was involved more in the actual animals and less on the admin side of things and not dealing with the phone calls and emails because then I was oblivious to the idiots we deal with. But then I didnt get to meet the people taking home cats and see how much they love them when they pick out the one going home too
