Hi:
I have a 5 yr old neutered male whom I love dearly, but lately his toilet habits are driving me crazy. He uses the litter box just fine and I clean it several times each day, but lately, after he does his job, he often leaves poop on anyplace he sits, and at times, the poop actually does fly around as he scoots by. Maybe he's trying to get away from the odor ?
I have since changed his dry food to a premium brand (Wellness Core) thinking maybe its a dietary thing, and wipe his behind with a damp cloth whenever I notice any dingleberries. I keep the fur trimmed to help keep poop from sticking to it. I am getting tired of having to clean my bedsheets and carpeting where he leaves his "tracks".
I have been using Tidy Cat Scoop litter (clumping), and while I think of it, I am also annoyed that he leaves a trail of litter all thru the house as it sticks to his paws. The litter box is huge...like 18" x 24" so its not too small for Nicky.
I have had several cats in the past and never had this type of problem. He is very loving, but he is pushing the limit.
Help !
