Thank you very much for all the help and information.

I have sent an email to the vets office for an appointment on either the 9th or 10th and I will bring along the information you have provided and discuss treatment options to keep my Amadeus healthy and happy.

Thanks again.

I get all my supplements from this website - when you order a certain amount, (over $40) you get free shipping or $4.00 for ground - which knocks down the actual cost of the supplement.
I like iherb.com too, but, like someone else said, lately Amazon has been cheaper (I use the source naturals l-lysine)

Great! I'll be watching for an update on Amadeus.

I find it helpful to write down all my questions before hand so I don't forget any. And I write down the answers too, so I have a reference for later. It's just too hard to remember so much information all at once, especially when you are worried about your beloved kitty.

But.....if you can e mail your vet, perhaps you could e mail her/him some of your questions ahead of time so the vet can be prepared with some answers on Thursday.

My vet has voice mail, and I do that sometimes, just call and leave my questions on voice mail before the appointment.

Thanks! I think I will write everything down so I don't forget to ask the vet.

He is looking better but he is still having a runny eye and runny poop and ended up going on the floor a little big today which he promptly tried to cover up.

I hope we can figure out whats going on with my kitty.

Our appointment on Thursday was canceled since the vet couldn't keep it and today we didn't even get to see the vet after sitting there for almost an hour, we had another appointment we needed to be at. They could have told us they were running behind so we didn't have to stress Amadeus for so long.

Have a new appointment for Monday and I expect them to be on time, or notify us if they are running late, or else I will have a fit.

I'm right there, now! So sorry about this - is this Vet the only vet in town?

There was an emergency right when the office opened (dog had to be PTS) but that was 30 minutes before our appointment.

We arrived 10 minutes early and were told it would only be a few minutes and almost an hour later we were still sitting there. If they would have told us they were running late we could have made another appointment (although I wanted him seem right away, the other appointment was booked for months and it couldn't be missed) and gone him instead of stressing Amadeus out more. IMO I thought it was completely unacceptable for them not to tell us, even when my mother told them we didn't have much time, they still told us only a few minutes (they is the receptionist). Anyways he is going tomorrow and I WILL have anger if this appointment is canceled or we have to wait without being told anything.

I live in a big city and there is many vets around, but this one was recommended to me by my friend and I like the vet, just not the wait time and service.

Opps sorry I forgot to come and update.

The vet felt around and said that Amadeus bowels were 'thick' which could be a sign of to much bacteria (bad bacterial) or something else.

He prescribed 2 medications and sent a stool sample off to be tested which came back with nothing of concern.

Amadeus' eye as cleared up and we are just waiting for the medication to kick in and get him normal again.

How are things "moving" now? Is he better? Glad the eye's cleared up, though!

Everything seems to be making its way to normal again.

His eye has cleared up, he is still sneezing a little. And his poop is almost there.
