Daily Weekend Thread: Sat. Dec.5th

Good morning.

Its my youngest brothers birthday today. He is 20 now.

Slept not too bad, and am feeling ok today..... wrists/hands are sore, but at least the rest is feeling ok

When I got up at 8ish, I tried to log on here, and couldn't. All I could think about was that post about the crash 5yrs ago

Which reminded me to save all my pm's. Anyone else have a prob this morning?

Sunny but cool day today. High of -1 today.... Not bad for Dec. IMO. But this mild weather is really making me wonder what Jan/Feb will be like.

Just the usual going on today, housework, snakework and groceries.

The only way I can get on anything right now is to go to thecatsite.com and click on latest on our forums. I can only see those few threads. When I try to click on anything else it says database error.

I am off to work in 2 hours. I just have a short day today, only 6 hours. I'm glad I don't have to work until 9pm, I hate extended mall hours during Christmas.

Yep, that's how I got here too.

Not doing much today. Have to make 2 batches of cookies for a Christmas party tomorrow. And have to workout since I didn't yesterday and I ate way too much bad stuff.

Morning,

I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to snow this morning. They were forecasting flurries overnight, but it looks like we got around 1/2" on the grass and roofs. I think that's about as big as anything we got last year. Here's the view from my steps:


There's nothing on the roads, so I'll be heading over to see my parents later this morning. I'll do my laundry while I'm there. I'll be working on my laptop and probably watching the SEC championship game on the TV as well. Nothing exciting tonight. I'll do some more work and maybe watch a little TV as well.

The forecast is for snow Tues night and Wednesday for us.

Well day #7 of being sick. Coughing has diminished a bit good thing as I'm out of cough syrup again. Now a bit of a cold appearing. Did a little bit of clean up of plants in the garage this am that's about it for me.

Just waiting for Neil to get home and to see if he notices I hit and cracked the garage seal molding while driving into the garage yesterday (oops didn't tell him!). Still planning on getting in some Christmas shopping.

Thats about it here nothing too exciting. Its colder again and the cats aren't (23F/-5C) and none of the kitties are interested in going outside! I wonder why??

Today is nice and sunny, although chilly out. Not sure what we'll do. We are both enjoying not having anything on that we have to do!

We are studying all weekend..just got a roast in the crockpot though so that will be good tonight!

Hello all,

We are having a blast with Calvin and Hobbes, and I think they did a great job on their first night. I am sure they slept better than I did, since I wanted to go check on them about every 20 minutes.

I'll try to post some pics of the new guys before too long. Happy weekends all around!

Nat, I like they way pushylady put it - Ooops! ...the only "garage" problem we had was backing out, looking behind with the door open - and the car door wasn't actually quite all the way out the garage door - so bent backwards. I wasn't driving.

Just a quiet day planned for us. Gary threw his back out a couple of days ago and it is BAD. A new place too - still in spasm.

....and I think we're going to pay for all this mild weather in Jan/Feb/Mar. It's just been too warm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's now 30 degrees in NYC and I'm sitting nice and cozy in my apartment, watching the snow come down, outside my window!!!

I have a nice pot of mixed berry green tea, and an old movie on the TV.

It's fantastic!

Evening everyone

Today was pretty good! I got up this morning and studied a little bit, then went to go meet my best friend for lunch. After lunch we went driving around the city for a little bit and stopped in to see our other friend while she was at work (she just got married 2 weeks ago!).

I just got home a little while ago. It was a fun day filled with lots of window shopping, and a little bit of real shopping (love gift cards!!).

I've also decided I will Never EVER wear boots to go shopping in again! My feet are in pain lol!!)

Good Evening!

Didn't get much done around the house today. Had to make 2nd trips to two stores today. First we thought the grocery store over charged us. After receiving an adjustment I see they were correct however there was two trips in the past month that we didn't go back for an adjustment. Then after Target and coming home in the slushy snow we discover they forgot to hand a bag over which had DS's new clothes. Back out in the wet slushy weather again. We did come home with 7 boxes of Kleenex tissue for FREE and 4 boxes of Keebler crackers for FREE. I love FREE stuff.

Tomorrow we are hitting another store for FREE napkins, wet ones & batteries. After our grocery trip and drug store trip we have a family party. My cousin moved to Florida many years ago and he is here for a visit. Whenever he comes up his parents throw a gathering to make it easier on him to visit everyone

But this time he is squeezing in dinner with us on Monday

About time for bed. I never thought I would be begging to sleep by 9pm.

They had a Ladies Christmas Luncheon at church today, so I went to that. I had a blast!

Then went to Costco to stock up on a few things. Then it is a quiet night tonight. Not much else happening.
