I was *so* hoping for a snowday, all I get is a crummy yucky to drive in day.

It's still snowing, I suppose there's always the possibility that I can get out of work early? I think that's wishful thinking, though!

We still haven't had a big dump here yet.... Hmmmm, kinda worried actually... its either gonna be a mild winter or a horrible one. We've had 2 snowfalls, one which gave us just a couple of cm overnight and melted that day, and another which just gave falling snow, no accumulation.

for a white xmas tho

Ooo, you got more snow then we got up here - just a dusting, although it was quite pretty. Looks like we're in for more snow this afternoon though, just in time for the evening commute

Over the river and through the woods...
It's just rained down here all day yesterday but the wind has really picked up so I think you are sending it our way. Take it back!! You can KEEP IT!!! I HATE snow. Ok, since Christmas is on a Friday, I will go for a white Christmas as long as it melts by Monday.

Just wait, I am sending cold too, bonechilling cold, high winds, and nasty windchills. Today is the last of the 'warm' days at -11°C with windchills to -25°C and it just keeps getting better.

You definately have more than we have over here! We just got a dusting, but its still snowing. We're driving home for the weekend tonight, and when I talked to my mom this morning, she said you guys had about an inch, but supposed to get up to 3" today? I hope thats right, I'm excited to come home and have all that snow!

Good grief - you are in Minnesota and need at least 10 foot of snow before the state even considers shutting down.

BTW - you are welcome any snow that comes my way.

Yeah, I have noticed it doesn't snow much around Philly anymore. When it does, its hardly nothing, and it either doesn't stick, or it melts really fast. Right now its really warm out. I miss the snow.

When i was a kid we got snow every winter. The past 8 or so years it seems we dont get much more than ice storms in Jan and Feb. One year many moons ago it was so warm in Feb that people were BBQing in their back yards like it was Spring.

Haven't had any snow yet or should I say, nothing to worry about. One day with about 1 1/2 inches. Last year at this time, we had already received a few feet of snow. No lake effect, no real cold and I am NOT complaining

Don't do it!
I went to school in New York and I got tired of the constant snow pretty quickly. The thing I still remember most was they way they would plow all of the snow from the sidewalks and open areas into big snow mountains in the central area. That thing would still be there melting away well into May.

I think that in nearly 30 years I've lived in my current location we've had a white Christmas exactly once. We got 1" on Christmas Eve one year back in the late 80's. We really just don't get snow here until January and for the last several years we hardly even get any then. The nice thing about living here is that we have very limited plowing/salting equipment so they close schools and businesses for any amount of snow that makes the roads slick. Even with that, we've only had a couple of snow days in the last 5 years.

Ooooo...I'm envious...we just set a record for first November in something like 80 years without a snowfall

I'm hoping we get some snow soon, if for no other reason than I'm sick of the rain.

KEEP the SNOW! LOL.

It's ok the first day, but after it starts melting, EW. And no one around here knows how to drive in snow... major traffic jams, lol. So keep your snow & cold weather, 40 is cold enough!
