So, I caught the last 45 minutes of this show the other day. I never cared for the Peanuts shows as a child, and I think I saw why the other day. They were over my head, emotionally. Thereâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s a lot of complex relationship dynamics going on in those shows that I can only relate to now. I found that 45 minutes to be some of the most profound television Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]d ever seen. I bawled my eyes out for most of the show, my heart breaking as all of the characters grieved in their own way over the loss of a loved one, and then watched as the last 5 minutes reverted to a lighthearted ending that had your sadness dissolve in a quirky bit of plotline that reminded you you were watching a cartoon. It was wrapped up perfectly to make sure you ended up with a smile after the show was over.

Great television. Watch it again, if you haven't seen it recently.

Thank you! I don't know that I've ever seen that one, but I'll look for it!

And yes... back when Charles Schulz was still writing it (at least), Peanuts was often very profound and insightful. Reading those old cartoons is an education in human nature. And fun, too!

Oh the BEST!! so sad, I cried my eyes out as a child when I saw it and vowed never to watch again, but I did watch it as an adult, thinking "oh, cmon, I'm grown up, I'm sure it is not as sad now"..HOW WRONG I WAS!! cried my eyes out again! lol.. it's been years since I've seen it, but I do remember the scene I blubber like a baby, is that song Charlie Brown sings late at night in his room remembering Snoopy! (My eyes are actually tearing up as I type this lol !!) good grief
