Our family, Me, DH, my daughter and his son, went to the local buffet for dinner. As we were entering the place, the men, held the doors open for us. we got in the foyer and there was a older lady there she had stepped in just before us, she let us go ahead of her and the men held the door for her too. She kept letting people go ahead of her until there was no line, we just assumed she was waiting for others to join her. Turns out she was alone and she sat just one table in front of us (it's a seat yourself place) My daughter stayed at our table while the rest of us got our plates. The lady asked my daughter if she'd watch her purse while she got her own plate, when she got back to her table we invited her to join us so she didn't have to eat alone. Turns out she was 94 years old
She was a total kick in the pants, she had us laughing and smiling and we all just had an absolute ball having her come join us. Just before we parted she went and got a little ice cream for dessert she came back with a dish full of gummy bears that she wrapped in a napkin and told our son to put in his pocket. It was soooo funny. we just had so much fun inviting this lady to our table. Sorry this is long, it just felt so good and so right to do.
