Awesome news!

I got some great news last night.

My chef friend tells my parents and I that the boss is thoroughly disenchanted with the winter crew at our bar/restaurant.
He's gotten tons of complaints and they were ruining the reputation we had built up for having the best pizza in Needles.
They were making them ahead of time and freezing them
Boss is fed up, so they will ride out the season but will not be coming back.

This means that my seasonal job will become a permanent, full time job starting in April.
It will be me, Kevin (the fruit sculpture chef) and my parents running things.

The pay isn't great, but considering I pay no rent or utilities it'll be plenty, plus the job is a blast.
I'll still be able to party a little as it's legal to drink while tending bar in California.
Plus, we have our hard liquor license now and we will be stocked and serving booze in the next few months.

I'm totally stoked, I miss my bar.

You'll be getting tips, won't you? If so that should give you a little more money. What's most important is that you actually enjoy working there. Lots of people, and many making a lot more money a year, can't say that.

Plus the boss' wife was talking to me today, and she wants to hire me as her housekeeper once or twice a week.

If you don't mind me asking, what are some of your favorite drinks to mix up at the moment? I am always working on my (home) bar, and I love surprising my friends with the occasional new cocktail.

I wish I was close to California, as it sure seems like a place where you can get all those lovely alcohols that I can't get around here.

I'm still prepping with my mixology text.
But my personal favs are mimosa, vodka cranberry, rum and coke, malibu and pineapple juice, bloody mary, and Crown Royal and 7up.
We don't do much beyond well drinks with the exception of the bloody maries and margaritas.
