Congratulations Sarah.
I actually don't know what the heart rate is. If they don't pick up the heart rate immediately using the doppler or whatever it is, they go straight to an ultrasound because they know not finding a heart beat freaks me out... So each time they have just done a quick ultrasound and just checked the heart is beating nice and quick, and that's been it. I have no idea what it actually is.Originally Posted by kluchetta
LOL at the leftover names. Same thing happened to us, but the second time we totally didn't have a boy name. Good thing we didn't have a boy named Nicole!
What is the heartbeat??? Mine were 100% right according to that...
Well, find out, and then I will tell you if it's a boy or girl. LOL!Originally Posted by sarahp

Sarah, brilliant news! Can't wait to know which sort you are going to have! Not that it matters - it's a bit like asking a real cat person what colour coat they prefer!

If you want to find out, I have a home doppler that works very well for me, and it shows you the heart rate- and I'm not that far from you.Originally Posted by sarahp

We thought about getting a home doppler, but to tell you the truth I think it would freak me out even more. I'd be checking constantly, and racing up to the ER any time I couldn't get a heart beat. For me, I think it's better I don't get one!Originally Posted by BelongsToEvie

Do you know if your placenta is in front? If so, that might make it difficult to pick up the heart beat, and I don't want you to freak out, especially since, unfortunately, I don't have a home ultrasound machine!
