Harley, Spot and Bianca got their photos taken with "Santa" today! We went to this holiday fair/fundraiser for our local animal shelter. They have a lot of things for sale, a 'cookie walk' and photos with Santa (played by a local vet) for a donation.
I took two of the cats and my German Shepherd Bianca we got photos of them with Santa.
Actually I was only planning on taking one of the cats (Harlequin) but her brother Spot stowed away in the basket underneath the pet stroller so I let him come along. I had a big scare actually-- I didn't know the cats could get into that basket on their own (there's very little space between the basket and the frame unless you lift up part of the stroller compartment out of the way) so I didn't think to check it before I wheeled the stroller outside. We were almost to the car when Spot stuck his head out of the basket at the bottom!
I quickly grabbed him and put him inside the stroller compartment.

Aww, they almost look horrified like you see pics of kids on Santa's lap absolutely terrified..

They're really cute though.
I think we brought my cat Polly to see Santa at the shelter like 10 years ago, I wonder if my mom still has that photo somewhere... I'll ask her and share it if it can be found..

That is so cute!

Spot looks like he is saying "Ok I'll sit but I won't smile".

I could never get Chester to do that. If I did manage to pry him out of the carrier I'm afraid that Santa would lose his beard.

They had these big studio-type lights, I think that's why they have a bit of a 'deer-in-the-headlights' expression. Either that or it was because of all the goofy noises we were making to try to get them to look in the right direction.

Spot is the most laid-back cat I have (also the largest, not a coincidence
) but he didn't appreciate the way Santa was holding him I guess because he kept squirming.
Harlequin is just like "I'm ready for my close up..." She is my 'show kitty'. Such a spunky little cat, but sweet and nothing bothers her. I took her to my friend's pet store last week and she was walking around (on leash) like she owned the place.
The photo with the two of them really shows how different they are in size! Harley's tiny little head next to Spot's big ole head, and then Harley's dainty feet and legs and Spot's tree trunks LOL... She is literally half his size, since she's 7 pounds and he's 14!
