How can I tell if Tinker is getting fat?

she looks fat to me. her stomach isn't all swollen, but when she lays on her side or back she looks like a little porker. Way fatter than Wilbur.

this pic doesn't do her justice, but does she look fat to anyone else?

I go by when they stand up and you look down on them and feel with your hands. My Oci boys look "fatter" laying down when they really are not. Your girl doesn't look fat to me.

She's got a very kissable tummy, that's for sure!

Our vet has a poster up with "profiles" looking at cats when you're standing over them. If she's still got a "waist," she's not fat.

thanks for the replies

yes she's still got a waist lol so i guess we're A-OKAY.

That little white fluffy tummy is NOT to be touched for any reason. She said so. However, when she sleeps she flips over on her back, and if I sneak in I get a warm little kiss, so it's all good.

She has the sweetest expression, sooo cute

You can't really tell when she is lying down, you have to look at her when she is standing up and see if any fat can be seen sticking out from the sides lol..

Awws--she's adorable. Love that white tummy! Is Wilbur allowed to touch it?

Probably one of the best ways to tell how fat they are is by feeling their backbone and ribs. If you can't feel ribs at all, they're too fat, according to what I've read.
