I've never really had any desire to get up in the middle of the night and wait in a long line to go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving. I've done it once, but waited 'til a reasonable hour. This year, I was motivated by a good shoe sale, and decided to give it a chance. So I stayed up all night and went shopping with my mom at 4:00 this morning. It wasn't bad, and we had a good time. We didn't go all out; we stayed in the car until they opened the doors and went in at the end of the line. The other customers were friendly and the store had done a good job of organizing their sale merchandise. I don't think I saved that much money, if any, but I did get some great clogs.

I have never gone to the After Thanksgiving Sales. But then I avoid the malls like the plague, especially around the Holidays. I hate crowds with a passion. I would much rather shop online than in the malls. I haven't been to our mall in at least 5 years.

But congrats on your new clogs!

Well, honey, for a good pair of shoes.... it's worth it!!!

I don't like the post TG mad rush either. My college-age niece and some of her friends went to one of the large malls around here... got there at 5 am!!

At that time of the morning I am rolling over and going back to sleep.

I'm with Catkiki on this one. I didn't even leave the house today since I was sick - any mad rushes at stores would have been terrible on top of that.

It's good to know that you and your mother did enjoy yourselves, though.

Hope you feel better soon!

We did, just one store and then off to breakfast! I forgot to mention that I got a quesdilla (not sure if I'm spelling that right) maker for $19.99. I love them, but have never tried to make them at home. Does it sound like I was buying for myself?
I did pick up some presents for others, but mostly got the ones for DH to give me, since he is to concentrate on buying a tall cat tree when he goes Christmas shopping.

Ah, a quesadilla maker... I call that a skillet.
I don't like extra gadgets that take up space.
They're not that hard to make, and what else you put in them can vary depending on what you like.
Have fun with that - maybe let us know if it was a success.

And update with your future cat tree sometime.

I'm better today, thank you.
