Nora freaking out over turkey

Does turkey affect cats in a weird way? We gave Nora some of our cooked turkey when we cut off all we wanted, and she went nuts! She was throwing it up in the air and playing with it like our old cat Gus used to play with mice after he killed them. She has NEVER done anything like this before, even with her toys, so I thought it was a bit strange. She played with it for a half an hour before I finally took it away and put it in the trash. She got pieces of turkey all over the kitchen! LOL

That is tooooo funny! Have you ever given her meat of any kind before (and not cat food?) I wonder if it was the "prey" thing???????????????

...or maybe you did baste it with catnip?

Wow, that is pretty funny!!! My boys know EXACTLY what to do with human food!! EAT IT!!!!!!!!!

She has eaten meat before, and had eaten about 4 pieces of turkey right before she started doing this. lol She loves human food and likes to try a bit of what we eat, but she has never done anything like this before. Maybe her hunting/prey instinct finally kicked in.
