Charlie has another UTI (his 2nd one) - he's been fine for almost 2 1/2 yrs and hasn't had a problem with adding in the canned and raw. I just picked up some amox from the vet - please pray he doesn't need to be taken to the vet on Monday!

kind of interesting that the vet will let you pick up medicine without a vet visit. Not that I'm saying that doesn't sound like a good idea - cats hate unnecessary vet visits.
I assume you have a really good relationship with the vet that he trusts your judgement in treating your cat.

Of course I hope he gets better. I just came back from the vet with Luna and it's obvious that she's rather not be there at all. She was pissed. Charlie should be grateful that his cat mom isn't taking him - yet.

He reviewed his chart from the last one. Charlie was on amoxi for the other UTI. So if he's still having problems by Monday, hubby will be taking him up first thing in the morning.

He ate dinner fine (canned). Jack's breeder says to go back to the raw chicken breasts instead of the wings - no more calcium. Said that a lot of cats with UTI do not do well with changes. And the only thing that is changed lately was the switching of the breasts to the wings.

It would be best if I could just give him canned and raw, but we would be stuck for showing cause I have to leave out dry for them while we are gone.

I'm really sorry to hear this; UTIs can be so frustrating!

Vibes that the antibiotic will do the trick. Get well soon, Charlie!

Charlie would not eat this morning and he's only gone one time (small amount of urine) - keeps trying but he's not going at all. I'll be calling another close by vet office at 8am and see if we can get him up there.

He cries now whenever you pick him up. At least there was no blood in the urine this morning (was last nite) - but he's not going at all right now.

We took him in at 10am - he's staying at the vets till Monday. He had some crystals blocking it and has to have that cathared thingy to flush him out. So we will go back to just feeding him the RC Urinary and canned foods and no more raw.

Vet said that some cats don't do well with diet changes. And none of them will get the human food treats any more either. Will still feed Jack the raw beef (not the chicken) - they can have cooked chicken or hamburger as treats tho.
