I adore tiny little back steets..so homey!

random seagull...he almost looks fake!

random stray kitty

this is a monastery nearby where I'm from..it's up in the mountains though..

Thanks for posting them. For some reason Bulgaria has always seemed like the "great unknown" to me, i.e., there's so little in the news about the country that I feel I don't know a thing about it, other than its location. That may change as it becomes more popular with tourists, though.

Very nice pictures. The places and landmarks don't happen to have any names do they?
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm curious!

Will you be able to go back and visit anytime in the near future?

All of the pics are of a small town called Nessebar, except for the last one, that one is of the "Bachkovo monatery"

Nessabar is my favorite place because it is one of the few places unaffected by construction of huge hotels, it is sad for me to see the loss of that kind of beauty ..
I am probably going to visit this summer...The thing that's sad about it is, I love it there but I feel a little bit like an outsider, my language skills are failing me and I always phrase things a little awkwardly, since I translate them in my head from English to Bulgarian, the word order is mixed up..I feel so bad about it lol..

I agree Bulgaria is never in the news..I guess the foreign relations are never controversial enough for it to come up, most countries are famous with either somethin great or something terrible, and Bulgaria is somehow in the middle, nothing horrific nor too exceptional about it

Wow it's beautiful! I know nothing about the country, its history or its economy - I'll have to go look. It sure is beautiful though!
Thanks for sharing!

I like the history a lot because it makes me learn not only about Bulgaria but about other countries that influenced it somehow, like Greece, Turkey Russia, Germany..It is cool to see how countries influence each other and how the cuisine ends up so similar and even the language..
My favorite part is learning about all of the polytheistic religions that the tribes had before it became a country, they are really cool and had cool deities..

Beautiful pictures!!!
Hey, not being in the news is a GREAT thing IMO - nothing good seems to make the news anyways...
I wish I came from a country that never hit the news!
You come from a beautiful place!

The Romans had their hands on it, too, for a while.

I hope you can visit next summer and have fun!
