What was she thinking??

We are having 11 people for Thanksgiving.. .two last-minute adds. So it was 9 people before yesterday.

My sister is hosting and we divvied up the cooking responsibilities. She is making the turkey.

I emailed her this morning and asked her what size turkey she got. She said 11 pounds. 11 pounds??? ???????????? Wha??? That is a tiny turkey!!! With all the waste on a whole turkey - I would have that size for a crowd of 4-6 maybe.

Good thing I made a pork roast AND some chicken for a niece of mine who only eats chicken and fish.

I know we are having a lot of other food and I am sure she was thinking about that, but really. And besides, turkey is great for leftovers!!!

An 11 lb turkey is what I make for just DH and me! It will not feed 11 people! I don't know what size turkey my friend is making, but I know she is making a ham also. There are supposed to be 10 people there. I made deviled eggs to take last night. Yummy!
