Constipation Treatment Success!!

I am the one with the 'moving pooper' posts (in Behavior section) It turned out that he (15 week stray kitten I had only had for a week) was becoming very constipated and of course it culminated on Saturday after vet hours. No BM Sat until evening and then a huge hard BM with pitiful 'screaming'
After some research I started him on pumpkin and olive oil mixed with his food Sunday morning. Sunday mornings BM was still traumatic but he acted OK in between and Sunday evening was better. Monday morning and ever since he has had normal BM's! He remains on the pumpkin and olive oil and we have a vet appointment this coming Tuesday. Of course if he had gotten worse, or not improved, or seemed ill I would have taken him to the ER but happily the pumpkin and oil worked in about 24 hours.
He was breaking my heart trying to poop!

That's great news! I have mine on pumpkin, enulose (a fiber thing from the vet) and benefiber. My vet told me that olive oil wouldnt really help because it's digestable, but it should certainly make his coat nice and shiny!
