How can I tell the cats that the dog wants to play with them when he approaches them? The dog has been told not to chase the cats but he can't help want to smell or lick the kitties' butts! He offers them his toys and nudges them for play. All he gets is a slap or a scratch on his nose which hurts and then he starts barking.
