i will start this one out:

our new cat, delilha, is a turkish van, she is very pretty, and quite intelligent.
when she was a kitten, she liked to bow up and walk sideways as in attack mode. she was never mean, just playful.
one time my wife was still in bed on a saturday morning. i got up and made coffee and went in to get her up.
delilha was sleeping next to her, i guess i starteled her, she sprany up and bowed up (in the Halloween position) and started walking sideways on the bed like she was in attack mode.
she forgot where the side of the bed was and walked right off the bed into the floor, my wife and laughed so hard, i thought i was going to die, it was so funny.
afterwards, she looked like she was embrassed.

Poor thing, the embarrassment was probably worse than the fall.

Hahaha! That's hilarious. xD

One time, I was playing with Sho on his giant cardboard box. The box is raised a few feet off the ground for him to use as a giant bed/perch/whatever. Anyway I was playing with a feather toy, and he was happily rolling around catching it when he got near the edge. I freaked and tried to push him back but he thought I was playing and went for my arm and, uh... whoops. He rolled once more and fell. He rolled onto his litterbox and eventually hit the floor in a daze. He looked up at me wide-eyed as if saying, "You did NOT just see that."

I also find it right hilarious when he's chasing flies. He'll jump straight into the air doing all sorts of acrobatic maneuvers that make me green with envy. Unfortunately, he's never been successful in catching one of the buzzing nuisances.

Lol, clowangel! The litterbox just completes it.

And I love the nonchalant attitude when a cat does something silly that they give.

On flies: A cat I had from childhood until she passed away earlier this year never killed anything either...although she caught things. Once, in my college apartment, I was getting ready for work while Merfy watched from her perch on the toilet seat. Suddenly an annoying buzzing distracted me. A fly.

Merfy caught it immediately and held it tight in a clasped paw. I thanked her. Then, slowly, she opened her paw and looked with it still half closed. Then slowly, she opened her paw all the way and let it go. The fly was still alive and returned to it's irritating buzzing and flying. I swear, Merfy seemed amused.

Another two (both Isosceles):

A neighbor and I were in the back yard talking. Suddenly, we heard a click. As we watched the back screen door handle turned and the door opened. Out walked Isosceles, casually...until he saw us. He then froze and ran back inside. My neighbor could hardly catch his breath.

The other day I was sitting in the den. No one else was home. Then I heard a click and the tv came on. Another click...it turned off. Another...on...then off...on...off. I cautiously turned and looked into the living room. Isosceles was standing on the tv turning it on and off to get Sedna's (other cat's) attention.

I have more but...I'll shut up.

I have new kitten in the house: Luna. She is kleptomaniac. She steals socks and when she does it she snatches the sock and gallops away lighting fast..well almost, she is so tiny that her 'fast' looks just incredibly funny and not really that fast.

The other day she became greedy, and started stealing bigger items like shirts. She then tried to take a hoodie which propably weights a lot more than she does and she got pissed off because she wasn't strong enough to drag the hoodie away. She murdered the closest sock she could find (there are quite a few lying around when you have a man in the house....) with arched back, jumping sideways and all, we were laughing so hard. It just looks so funny when a very tiny and extra fluffy kitten tries to look tough..
Now she also steals post, like newspapers, bills etc.
And I keep finding socks from weird places.

Callie is a seasoned outdoor kittie. She's lived her whole life outside. So - she's very familiar with Iguana's. She likes to chase the little skinks and the little iguanas. She's bigger than them and they run from her. So one morning I was sit'n on my back porch afte ri've fed her and am looking forward to watching her race around the yard after this lizard she's spotted in the bush...until I relized it was one of the "Old Daddies" as we call them....4" from nose to tail. I told her it was a bad idea.

So..instead of watching her chase - she got snapped at. She pulled back and arched up with a sideways hop and tripped over a root and tumbled over and over..got back up and ran 20 feet away. Stopped..and proceeded to wash like nothing ever happened.
silly kitty.

have hard wood floors and when my kitties are in running/playing mode, they regularly loose footing, wipe out and slide into various pieces of furniture and always stop, shake them selfves and look at me like "I meant to do that" I have always said that if they had rubber on their feet, I'd have black marks all over the floor from attempted take offs.

I just got my kitten recently . She jumped onto my lap and bit my hand, it didn't harm me but, it's not acceptable. I told her no! and made her get down. She immediately ran to the staircase. She is small and started hopping down the steps. On each and every step she had to scream a complaint, hop, MEOW!! hop, meowWWW!!!! she got louder and louder with each step until she reached the bottom and tore off at high speed! She was so angry but I was laughing because it was so cute.

Delilha, our turkish van, is hillirous, she is so funny and i know she does not mean to be.
she likes to hide under the covers in the morning after my wife makes up the bed.
she is under the covers with just her nose sticking out and waits until you walk by, then she will stick out her paw and attacks you, then she hides under the covers like we can't see her.

for this action i have named her "Ninja Kitty"

another story:
i was bringing in Christmas decorations up from the garage, i had boxes stacked up in front of my face, coming in the back door.
delilha saw me, did not recognize me and it scared her to death, she runs out of the den as fast as lighting, runs up the steps, knocks over the trash can, and flies under the bed and hides.
she stays hid for about 2 hours before she finally comes out. then she acts like nothing has happened.
it was so funny.

I don't know if this is funny, more very cute really. When Carmelo (our cougar for those who don't know who he is) still lived in the house with us, he had this one toy he just loved. It was a huge stuffed, fleece dog bone with squeakers inside. We would hear squeak squeak squeak squeak and find Carmelo standing there in a trance like state, stomping on the toy with his back foot and this adorable look on his face. He would stand there close to 5 minutes straight just stepping on that toy making it squeak.

I don't know if these are funny to anyone but me and DH.

I don't know how old our cats were when we got them, but Swanie was still close to kittenhood I think (despite being pretty big even then). Once we were sitting on the couch and all of a sudden he jumped up, ran down the couch, flew off the side, jumped on the kitchen table, got on his back legs and started going Mrow! Mrow! We had no idea what he was doing until we noticed a little tiny bug circling around the light. We figured he was saying get down here! I can't reach you up there!

Then there was the time something scared him and he jumped at least a foot off the floor, all four feet, and totally puffed up his entire body. That was one of those you had to have been there moments. We laughed so hard at the poor little doodle, and then felt bad for laughing when he was scared.

Cindy is his protector. Whenever we have to give him medicine or anything or we're trying to catch him, she's right there meowing at us, like don't do it! Don't hurt him! However, when there is a cat carrier involved because he's going to the vet, Cindy will fly up the stairs and it's more like good luck Swan! See you when you get back!

Cindy also loves to watch him play or do bad cat stuff. Anytime he's up to something, pretty soon she will show up and sit off a little ways watching him. I don't know if she thinks it's cute or just making sure he doesn't get himself into trouble.

I have relatives in the Lenoir, Connelly Springs, Hildebran, Hudson, and Roadhiss areas.

The funniest cat story I have involves my mom's cat. She is what I believe some people call a dilute color; cream, blue, with other little splotches of odd colors. She is a very unusual cat. One night, my cousin stopped by to visit my parents with one of his hunting buddies. My cousin's friend had never been to their house. Well, Kitty came running by the guy and it scared him half to death! He jumped up and said, "good gosh a'mighty....What was that? I guess he thought they kept a ground hog in their house.

WARNING- Very slightly risque...

Zephyr once found mine and my husband's used condom in the wastebasket. So what does she do? Finds out it's springy and colorful and plays happily until mommy comes screaming down the hall like a madwoman.
