No question, just an observation

I clean bathrooms, laundry rooms and maintain the chemicals in a swimming pool, so my hands are always messing around with chlorine.
I wash my hands before I come home and again when I get home.

My youngest cat, Jade, goes absolutely nuts for the lingering smell of chlorine on my hands.
She's the only cat I have ever known that had this reaction.
It's more intense than the most intense catnip reaction I've ever seen, I cannot keep her off of me.

Anyone else have a kit that goes nuts over odd things?

Ok I guess that was a question

I've had two who do that, it is usually when I'm doing laundry or cleaning with bleach...never did figure out why...it seems harmless, as long as your not letting them lick the chlorine off of your hands!

Three of mine also like chlorine. Everytime when I have washed the toilet they are sniffing around and rubbing themselves against everything and purring like crazy. And on of them looooves the toiletbrush...

Nope, none of mine. In fact they usually stay away from things after they have just been cleaned

^Mine aren't given the choice if I've been using things like bleach. They're shooed away, bathroom doors are shut, or they're put in the bedroom (when I scrub floors).

Everything is rinsed and aired out by the time they get to it. Though I've never noticed a reaction to bleach.

Every cat I've ever had has reacted to menthol type rubs, though. Some respond stronger than others and it can be a bit disturbing.
