The Positive Post (part 2)

Thread Starter
Since the other one has surpassed 500 responses, here is part 2.

In this day and age, we are surrounded by bad news, and alot of people are not feeling very positive.

We all have to make time to stop and smell the roses, especially on bad days (whether you just got laid off, or your daily pain is acting up)...there is usually something postive.

I'm hoping that many people will participate in this thread, as we could all use a smile...it is a proven stress reliever

So I'm asking of you, to post daily, something positive to you.... it doesn't have to be monumental, it can be the littlest thing... but something positive to you.

Take the moment to relax and think of your emotional health....it will do you and others good.

I mean cmon, who can't smile when someone says "my kitty gave me my first kiss today".

I shopped in a real department store today. Had to ride in a motorized buggy but it was OK. Nobody was run over no damage done.

A friend went with me. We spent almost two hours! I spent too much but it was worth it. The cat food and toy mice were necessities.

It's been ages since I have been able to actually shop.

I'm making Kahlua Pumpkin Cheesecake tomorrow. The thought of it brings a big smile on my face.

Tasha came back in last night (after 6 days in the cold) and spent most of the night curled up at my feet purring like a lawn mower!!!!!!! I think she's really happy to be home .

I am at the point where I miss my family. Which was one of the whole points of my trip. We had become used to having each other around that people were being taken for granted. I was not appreciated and I didn't appreciate others..... someone had to go for a bit, to "refresh" things and that was me since I'm the one most affected by staying home 24/7 aside from doc appts and such.

I am happy that I've "found myself" and reevaluated parts of my life.

I am glad to be heading home, and I've so enjoyed this trip.

(one of my new goals, is to make it a part of my day to post something positive....as well as better my self esteem).

Quincy has taught Autumn how to play - either the feral or the princess in her never allowed her to properly play, total rolling around the room crazy play but that is what she did with Quincy all night.

It wasnt so positive by 3am but still heartwarming!

I woke up with both cats cuddled around me today - but they weren't touching each other. . Nothing makes me smile in spite of the alarm clock quite as much and two purring lumps of warm fur...

It is indeed, Matt is back from a business trip tonight - we will see how positive he find it when they are running over him at 3am

That is great news about you and Gary making it to NYC

I guess its positive in that our charity still has sponsors, so it is our sponsor recognition reception tonight - we only lost 3 sponsors during the economic crunch and actually gained a new one so are very thankful for our sponsors. We are expecting a huge turnout today so not sure if there will be much food left to donate to the Salvation Army which we usually do but they are always happy to get the leftovers from the hip of beef that we serve to make soups etc

Today I am happy because the flare-up in my hand seems to be subsiding. I am feeling much better although I am still really tired from the lack of sleep. So after a nice hot bath this evening I am heading off for a good nights sleep

Doesn't it feel good!

I'm positive today because it was "The King's" tenth birthday yesterday and he had breakfast in bed [Elmo]. (in my Mum's bed...) and I'm positive because he's still with us after a traumatic birth and upbringing.

I got all of the pies baked and the baked beans taken care of. Everthing so far has come out perfect. The kitchen is now clean and you can't even tell I was in there baking all day. It was a good day.

Congrats!!

Kuura's litter originally had five kittens but one didn't make it.. But the rest of them and their mommy are luckily doing fine.

I went to shopping today and it was very cheap! Why? Because I didn't buy anything. I'm proud of myself.
My friend finally got a job, I'm happy for her.

Hi Chris, very good to start the 2 part of this,...

This is with dedicatory to you...

A friend hears the song in my heart and sings it to me when my memory fails.

RIP little one. He has reached the rainbow bridge with my third one which we also lost - I called him Goldie Pratt.

I'm positive today because my two vegemites are five days old! I'm so glad they've made it this far.

It's Black Friday am, and I am happy that I am NOT out shopping and waiting in line. I am thankful I am home in my kitchen, kitties are fed, pilled and given insulin.

I am happy I hear my DH starting to stir upstairs. Will make us coffee and sit on the couch with Beeba.

IMO it does not get any better than that.

It don't take much to make me smile!

I am sooooo thankful one of my RMTs (registered massage therapist) could fit me in today. My back is flared something horrid from the drive on Wed.... this should help relieve some of it.

I am happy I am feeling so much better the last couple of days and actually have the energy to go out and do some stuff I have been putting off today. I am planning on having a late lunch with my aunt as well and it will be nice to visit with here since I haven't been over to her place for several weeks.
