My Cornish Rex seems to have more and more trouble with the cold as she gets older (she's 12 now). She is indoors only and our house isn't terribly cold, but lately she spends a lot of time cuddled under my blankets. I'd like to get her a heated bed, and maybe a sweater/jacket/shirt or something to wear. Are there any good brands I should look for?

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

I prefer the reflective heat pads ... they dont need to be plugged in and are only the temp of the cat reflected back at them
Has she recently had a senior panel to make sure organ function is normal?

No. I wanted to get one done with her last checkup in October, but I couldn't afford it at the time. I plan to do this when I can.

I have 2 sphynx and they wear clothes.
I do not use heated beds because they can catch fire.
Get the heating pads they work well and do not need to be plugged in.

I have a Sphynx and hated beds are a mandatory thing around here.
One time they came unplugged and she lost a lot of weight on the same amount of food and was healthy otherwise, then we discovered they were unplugged and plugged them back in and she gained weight again and looked normal again. The heated beds help her stay healthy because of her high metabolism she expends so many more calories staying warm, they help make life easier for her.
You can buy them specifically for cats in pet supply stores of all kinds. Online as well. Happy hunting, hope you get her a warm bed. She will most likely love it year round. At least she will have that option. The heated beds gets used the most in the winter months.

I bought this bed
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...6&pcatid=15426
last Fall and it has had 1, and often 2 cats in it almost constantly since then. It's a very low temperature bed. You can't even feel the heat unless you hold your hand on it for a long time. I would buy a second one if I had a place to put it - the cats didn't use it at all on the floor, but it was a big hit as soon as I put it up on the couch.

I have Snuggle Safe microwave disks, they stay warm for 12 hours.
Also these plug in heat pads, http://www.ozpetshop.com.au/product_...roducts_id/532
I know a few people who use the reflective mats already mentioned.

Check out this thread for some links to great electric throws, beds, and snuggle warmers for your kitty: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=208088 .
I have 2 small pet electric heating pads and my kitties LOVE them. They were fighting over the one we had, so I got a second one. I leave them plugged in 24/7 on days when it's cooler (I'm in Fort Worth, so I know the weather's fickle). When it's warmer outside, I unplug them. I wrap them in an old towel just to give the kitties more protection, but the pads are the kind that keep the temp at a consistent 102º and cool off if there's not an occupant on them.
