I wouldn't say that, I had symptoms at 3.5 weeks, lol (thats a week and a half before I was due, I just thought I was sick!).

I'd wait it out, its only a week, and your doc apt is two days away, no need to stress yourself out until you have to, right?

Shortest for me is 33 days, but can go up to around 45. I skipped last month entirely.
Any major stress, illness, or medications throw it off, too.
I remember the OP's thread about her missing her SO a lot, so there was obviously some stress for her, too.

I agree my 30day cycle on the dot was 15 days late 3 months in a row before my wedding!

Stress does wonders to out bodies, even causing things like PAIN. Hopefully the OP's SO comming home makes everything feel better

I dont know I cant pinpoint any major stress. I've been kind of off the past few weeks I guess. Just no motivation and just kind of feeling down for no real reason.
And it just worries me that I've never had any of these pms symptoms before... dunno why they decided now was a fine time to start....

From what my mom told me, my dad's sister (I never met her) didn't even know she was pregnant. She was having her period like normal and thought she was just getting fat. She was having fluttering in her belly but ignored it. She was reading one day with the book resting lightly on her belly and the baby really kicked and moved the book. She was so surprised. So you can be pregnant and still have a period! It is rare, but it does happen.

I didn't even think about you recently going off BC. I remember when I went off the pill....the first 3-4 months were fine, then suddenly Mother Nature decided to nail me to the wall! Boobs hurt, back hurt, bloated and I don't even want to talk about the cramps. That could very well be the problem. Your body is just now remembering what it's like to be a woman (ain't it fun). Still, get everything checked out to be safe but my breasts get so tender about a week before my period it hurt to wear a bra sometimes, and it hurts not to....they just hurt period.

I know it was shrugged off due to inactivity, *but* I am a fairly endowed lady in the bust department, and if I run even a block in a bra that isnt firm support, I will feel it later that day and for a couple days after. When I work out, I wear very supportive sports bras. But whenever theres a chance for bounce, theres a chance for breast tenderness for me.

I once read that morning sickness can start 7-10 after impregnation. But, I'm no expert there--never been pregnant!
However, many years ago, when I first took it (when the Pill had a lot more estrogen in it), I had a kind of false pregnancy--afternoon sickness, the brown striation lines on my breasts and abdomen, and a bloated abdomen. I couldn't eat many foods; to this day, the sight of green onions literally make me nasueous--it stems from that time period when I once ate them, and they made me sick. Normally, I could eat them, and still can eat any other time of onion, inlcuding raw garlic, without nausea--but not scallions! after about 4 months, the symptoms went away.

I skip lots too, especially if I'm doing allot of physical activity.

I'm a good 30 days ish - but 45
I'm SO jealous!!!!

I guess technically with the last two babies coming so close I've really only had 2 in the last three years... maybe I should complain

Yeah, that messes mine up, too. I have some underlying health issues that don't help. The very first year I started my period I think I only had 6 of them? Very weird, I guess I do everything slowly!
You'd think that less is nice, but it can be inconvenient since I don't know when or where I'll start - I don't get cramps.

And no, if anyone wonders I do not tolerate BC pills/hormones very well.

Well not much has changed. They are not as sore but they still hurt. It doesnt hurt to go without a bra anymore so thats a good thing! But they are still tender to the touch. (Ever had a Bouvier des Flanders bite your boob? Yeah it hurts I wouldnt recommend it!)
I didnt get to go to the doctor yesterday he had no opening and I am going to try my best to go to planned parenthood this afternoon but I dont know if I will be able to or not. I will need a proof on income so I gotta find out if that is still in my car. I'm hoping I will start this weekend. I usually start between the 27-2 so we will see! Gah I am so nervous about this!

Buuuttt on the bright side! The Beau comes home today! I am so excited! Right now he is somewhere over the atlantic! I cannot wait to see him at the airport. Its going to be interesting how he reacts because he isnt a big fan of a lot of emotion infront of his coworkers but who knows with this!

A couple of months ago i got PMS so bad i SWORE i was pregnant. Sore breasts, tiredness, sleeplessness, cravings, ect ect ect. I had about 85% of the early warning signs of pregnancy...and then i got my period.

You have to take in to account that no matter HOW careful you are pregnancy is a possibility (unless you dont have sex) BUT dont panic. Your period isnt yet late. I would assume the most likely cause is just a bad month of PMS. It sucks that the symptoms of both are pretty much the same, but thats a womans body for ya. And that is ALSO why you shouldnt panic until you miss your period. If in the next couple days you can get a test then do so for your own piece of mind. But for now, go see your doctor, and try not to freak yourself out. (I know, easier said than done).

I have months where i barely notice i have PMS and then months where i have it so bad i expect to be popping out kids in the near future. It is natures way of telling you your BODY is ready for a baby. Too bad our bodies and minds dont always match up huh? lol.

Anyway good luck and seriously...try not to panic!!!

First of all I did not read your post. I promise.

But the surest way to get the few men we have here on this site to read your post is to start your title the way you did!

If you have my kind of luck, Mother Nature will show up on the way home from the airport!
I got my the morning after our wedding...at least we got to enjoy the wedding night. I was late too, but refused to think about it. I chalked it up to wedding stress.

Enjoy the reunion, and let us know what you find out.

okay so I wanted to update everyone!
The Beau came home and had to work on Wednesday even though he had told me he wasnt going to go in. Oh well. But I did tell him what was going on although it ended up being over text... go figure. Tuesday night he was horribly jet lagged when he got home so I didnt get to tell him and I was going to tell him on the drive home on Wed but he decided to work so I had to leave and his mom came and got him from Knox to bring him back to Bristol. So I told him via text... probably not the best way but it worked out. I knew we wouldnt get a chance that evening until late and I wanted to let him know asap. Needless to say he kind of freaked out.. but more in a worried about me and what to do way not an angry way.
But we went that night and got a test and did it and it was neg, and then of course I decided to start the next day... go figure. Great waste of $11 but oh well it helped us relax! Although it was still a really odd period. It was only heavy for 2 days and then 2 days of just having to wear liners and barely spotting... I dunno whats going on with me...
But I am going tomorrow or Tuesday to get back on the pill and to find out about an IUD for the future! Really dont want any more scares like this! Although I have to say, I would not have been devastated if the test was positive. It would have just made things a little difficult!

Thank you again everyone for all of your help! It means a lot to me to be able to turn to such an amazing site and get great advice and feel much more at ease!

Whew, that is a relief..... Been waiting for an update and I'm glad it worked out for the best, and hope you get in and can get back on the pill asap
