Feline Leukemia shot and Ragdolls

Is it true that the Feline Leukemia Vacinnation can cause illness/death in Ragdolls?

Same breeder (the one that has declawed all her cats "but one") in her contract states it is recommended that you do not allow your kitten to have Feline Leukemia Shot as some Ragdolls are allergic to the shot and could cause death.

My little guy is strickly indoors, but always the chance he could make a break for the front door....

All opinions appreciated. Thanks again !

Feline Leukemia Shots should NOT be given to any indoor cats.
No cats should be declawed.

Both of my Ocicat breeders (one of them is a vet) will not give or recommend giving the FELV shot. They will void any health guarantee on the cat if its given (along with the FIV/FIP shot).

Its been found that the FELV has caused more problems in cats then worth giving the shots and risking cancers at the site of the shot. They do test their breeding cats, but will not give the shots.

I never wanted to give the shots when they first came out - I tested my breeding cats and never gave any of them the shot.

That shot is no good and it is the contract of both my sphynx never to give it.
IT ALSO KILLED MY LUCY.

Most breeders I know are the same, and will not recommend anything above the 3 in 1 vaccines.
