Would Feliway help with biting?

I've noticed several posts that refer to Feliway. I researched it and found that it's supposed to be a calming pheromone. Could I use it to help with Kiki's biting. She tends to bite just me, but at times she will bite my toddler too. She hasn't broken the skin yet, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. As a matter of fact it can be quite painful. She often gives no warning. My husband will pet her and she purrs, but the minute I touch her she will bite me...most of the time. I don't wear perfume or anything like that. In fact after I get out of the shower and put on lotion(unscented for sensitive skin) she comes running to try and lick it all off.

I was just wondering if there is some stress that I am unaware of that could benefit from the use of Feliway?

It sure couldn't hurt.

How old is she?

And when you say the minute you pet her she bites you - is this after DH has been petting her? Could it be overstimulation?

She just turned a year old. If hubby pets her it's about 5 seconds at most. He just likes to prove that she doesn't bite him. She has even bit me on the nose. Her favorite place to perch is on back of my computer chair which is above my head, and if I turn my head to look at her she will bite my nose from time to time. She also likes to attack my leg when I walk by and attacks my hand through the railing when I walk downstairs.

I don't think it's over stimulation because it can happen when I first approach her. Maybe she just doesn't like to be touched all that often? It's funny because she will come into the kitchen whenever I'm in there and cry....for what I don't know. She will cry outside my bedroom door to get in, but when she comes in she just hides under my bed and attacks my feet when I walk by. She has got to be one of the craziest cats ever.

She likes to be in the same room with you....just not next to you. The only time she'll cuddle with me is if I'm laying down on the couch...go figure.

Quincy also likes to bite my nose

Some cats are just not touchy feely cats like some people and it sounds like she could be one but you certainly should try and stop her biting without notice.

Feliway can not hurt and I find it helps a lot with the semi ferals I socialise so should help with a slightly crazy cat
