Well, we were up until 2am last night again with our loud downstairs neighbours. We called the police...they came and issued a warning..then the woman from downstairs started screaming for about a half an hour about how she doesn't care and take her to jail..she just kept screaming loud enough so we would hear her words exactly. So, we called the cops again, they came and fined them. They were kind of quiet after that, but not even really.

I am getting so sick and tired of this. What the heck do we do? If the police fining them doesn't make them quiet then what? I am so fed up.

I am so tired. I am going to call the landlord today even though they are not the type to do anything about anything. If I have to I will take it to the landlord tenant tribunal because our well being is in jeapordy.

I am not a confrontational person, but even I was at my limit last night, I almost went down myself and said "SOME OF US WORK IN THE MORNING!" followed by some expletives...but I realize that would take me down to their level.

Ugh

Anyway, yeah..thats it for now.

Oh Nat, I'm sorry you are stuck with such crappy neighbours. I would continue calling the police on them... with any luck they will get sick of the fines and cut it out.... Might take a few tries tho

My day today: I have to find a Chrysler dealership with a service center near me because shortly before we got back yesterday my brake and ABS warning lights came on.

They didn't stay on, but would go on and off intermittantly.... flashing... longest they stayed on was a couple mins.

Now my problem. I'm in the middle of nowhere. Nearest "major" cities are Thunder Bay (4-4.5hrs) or Sault Ste Marie (4-4.5hrs or so).

I am NOT driving to TB with potential brake probs.... (steep hills n' such)

I think I found a dealership closer (in a med. town), now its wait till 9 so I can call them and see if they have a service department. If they have a service department, I have to see if they carry a fair stock of parts, if they don't, I have to see if they will give me a loaner to come back to my friends place. This place is 2.5hrs away.

uggggggggggggggggg.

So thats my day, stressing over my baby

Might seem like a petty thing for you guys, but ya'll aren't 15-16hrs away from home

and this may put off me leaving for home when I wanted to.

Nat, you're neighbours suck and I will send you vibes that they leave soon, one way or another. At least the police came out for you guys! That part frankly amazes me.
Chris, my ABS lights have been coming off an on intermittenly for the past few weeks. Not saying you shouldn't get it checked out though! Especially with the hills up there.

Good morning

At work, just got a new computer. MUCH faster than the 9+ year old one I used to have, which was corroded by all the acid fumes over the years anyway. Having fun setting it up like the one I just got rid of (cat theme for firefox, one of my furbabies as the desktop til I can upload the pics of all 3 together). Trying not to procrastinate on doing work and failing

Got classes tonight, so I'll be at work til 3, then math and english til 7:30. At least next Tuesday I get to skip out on English and will have a shortened math class - I get to go to my orientation at the SPCA here to become a volunteer!

Cant wait to get home tonight and snuggle with my furbabies and help Neko get comfortable in his new home. He's doing well, but is still skittish if we approach him too quickly when he's exploring the house. Hopefully he'll be over it shortly and all will be normal, except with 3 instead of 2 kitties! Nero & Hoshi have allowed him into their home quite easily.

Nat, at this point you have to just keep calling the police and bothering the Landlord - and I would suggest you take it to the landlord tenant tribunal. This happens WAY too often - and I'm sure you don't tell us about it every time it happens, just when it's bad. I'm so sorry!

Chris - I'd get the ABS checked out if you can without having to drive over too much mountainous stuff. But otherwise I'd just try to co-ordinate the drive home with weather, because most likely it just means the ABS is out, not that the breaks aren't working.

(And many of us were driving safely before ABS existed.

).

Tara - enjoy the new computer and so glad things are going well with Neko!

Today is a very disappointing day for us. We were supposed to be on our way into NYC today for rather important meetings. But Gary's got a fever of 103 - not sick, his hypothalamus is broken and this is basically like a seizure. His eye is swollen closed (same thing, not ill). It should pass in a couple of hours... but it'll be too late by then.

He's beside himself upset, which isn't helping.

Morning all!!

Sounds like everyone had an eventful day yesterday. I agree noisy neighbors suck and Chris I hope you can get your car fixed without to much trouble.

Raining here this morning and my joints are really telling me about it.

Have a couple of things to do today. Have to stop by my old job for a bit, I was summon by my former boss yesterday apparently they are having an issue with one of the accounts and the person who took over for me has no idea what to do.

So anyway got to stop by there for awhile but other then that it will be just another typically quiet day.

The kitties are all napping.

Good morning! Mom is off and was up early with DS she let me sleep in a bit. I feel much better. She wants to spend the day with him

She had a bad week at work and needs something to make her smile.

I hope to clean the basement today. DS has been wanting the main living area to hang out all week. It's spotless except the SS gifts laying on the dining room table.

Well, I am back from the Catskills in upstate NY after a little less than 2 months helping my Mom. I couldn't really get to TCS there because I had to use my cousin's computer in my Aunt's house and my cousin smokes so much that I couldn't stand to be there because I just got sick.

So, anyway, I also moved into a new place which is in "horse country." Honestly, you wouldn't believe how much this seems like the country knowing it is only about 20 minutes from 2 suburban cities. It is the last of the few open spaces around here.

So, today I am going to my club to do a stretch class 9 - 10, work with weights 10 - 10:30, core and stretch 10:30 - 11:30, restorative yoga 11:30 - 12:45, shower, grab lunch, go to my therapist 2 - 2:50, pick up Ben at school to take him to the endocronologist at 4 then think about making dinner.

I guess I have a full day.

I sent a letter with my log of the instances to my landlord this morning. I have a feeling they will do nothing because they are the type. I have no problem taking it to the tribunal though. I have had enough, I was in tears last night...so frustrated that we have to deal with this crap at 2am. I just want to sleep!

Michele, there are no other units, its only a sixplex and they are all rented.

Good luck with your car Snake Lady, My truck is having issues too, my "Check Gages" keeps flashing at me and when I accelerate,I feel like it is going to break down.

Well I too got little sleep, as I had 4 cats sleep with me last night!!! I have a full bed with a pillow on one side, I had Pooh and June Bug by my feet, Kamie on my left side and Mancake on my right

I have class in a few, then to the barn and back home to do a lotof studying!!!! It is foggy right now, typical fall/winter morning here!

The only thing I can think of in a worst case scenerio: can you do some renovations? Put up another wall on that side with some heavy duty sound barrier insulation to dull it.

This is just a worst case scenerio...... if calling the police regularly or taking it to the tribunal doesn't work. I'm sorry you are going thru this, and I completely understand the tears when just wanting to sleep....
