A couple more...taken on the way home from Thunder Bay.

Those rock cliffs/hills sure make one feel small..... and the drops on the side of the road sure can make a person nervous, especially when you are not used to windy, up and down, inclines, narrow shoulders dropping off a longggggg way.

So beautiful tho.

Gooooooooooorgeous!

Not to diminish the loveliness, but wanna freak out at real estate standing on its edges? Come drive the Sea to Sky sometime.

Is that on the Rockies?

My friend, who of course is used to this country (I am NOT....heck, I'm from Southwestern ON. with nothing like this really) said something. I was out looking at that rock wall, and said something about it making me feel really small...she said something along the lines of you should go to the rockies, then you'll feel small LOL.

Ok I just looked it up...... Some of the pics, there's no guardrails at all

Did I mention I was freaking out on this route going there???? LMAO.

Beautiful scenery, I will say that. But I did NOT like driving on that road whatsoever.

I think the same for Sea to Sky.... as a passenger I might be ok, but I don't think I could drive it.....The drops prolly are double what they were here, cuz your mountains are way bigger than ours (this wasn't really even a mountain, it was a big hill LOL).

If you half some pics, I would LOVE to see em

It's so beautiful up there! And a real bonus that you got nice wether to appreciate the scenery in. we went to Lake Superior a couple of years ago, and loved it. Quite a different landscape and lifestyle up North that's for sure.

Wow - beautiful pics of beautiful country! I will never forget driving the Canadian Rockies in the RV, Gary hell bent on passing the caravans that weren't driving fast enough for his liking...

But that is awe-inspiring beauty Chris. I wouldn't be so happy about driving it either.

The Sea to Sky is the road up Howe Sound from the Lower Mainland to Squamish, where it heads inland and on to Whistler. Critical to the Olympics. Basically the road is cut into the side of the mountain, which on one side goes pretty much straight down to the water and on the other pretty much straight up. I wish I had a pic that really shows it, but they're mostly water views, without the context of the other side of the road.

I have always heard of Thunder Bay, now I know! Wow it is beautiful but is looks cold and wild! Love it! I like nature when it is raw, like in the fall and winter. It exhilerates me!

I visited CO back in 1999 and my friend was driving on the huge mountains and I was scared out of my wits. Rocky Mountains may be beautiful but very scary also. Just way too dangerous.
