DH was sitting on the Wal-Mart cabstand today and a cute little polydactyl tortie jumped up in his window and demanded to be petted. He beats all I have ever seen when it comes to strange cats just approaching him and making friends. He called me and had me bring some cat food, but he had gone out on a call when I got there. She came right out and let me pet her and hung out with the drivers on the stand while she ate cat food and scraps from lunches. DH came back and it began to rain, so jumped right into his back seat and curled up to lick her paws. When he had to leave again, she ran off out of the rain, and we did not see her again for the last hour of our shift. I am going to try to get her in to a foster home tomorrow. She was obviously someone's pet, but seems to have been dumped. I am hoping one of the drivers will give her a home, but if I can't do anything else, I will move her to the cab lot to live with the lot kitties. There are only 2, and the owners see that they are cared for. I think I could take up a collection to have her spayed. Wish me and the little cutie pie luck in getting her a good situation.

Good luck with getting her into a new home! She sounds very friendly and I'm sure would make a good, loving pet if she gets the chance.

She came back and hung out with us again today, and one of the drivers is considering giving her a home. The night drivers have agreed to watch out for her tonight if she has not gone home with said driver.
I contacted a lady that rescues a little while ago, but have not heard back from her yet. It took me awhile to find her email address. I think between all of us that have befriended her, we should be able to help her out of the parking lot and in to a home.
