Natural Balance - good PR

I wrote to NB,explaining my situation with Archie - who has lower GI issues and that the vet and I think it may be food intolerance-related. I told the company rep that I am vastly underemployed and that I am getting no support from my current rescue b/c of finances so it is expensive for me to try their LID foods. Would they be willing to send a couple little sample bags or coupons so I can at least see if any of the 6 cats that live communally will even eat it?


The customer service rep said no problem, we can send you a little something.

Well - what arrived today was a box filled with 2 oz samples of Duck and Green Pea, and a bag each of salmon and GP and chicken and GP. So I have like 27 little bags of NB LID food!

I figured they would sent a little bag of each and maybe a coupon.

So here is hoping that the boys will eat this stuff!

That is great ... and a great reminder to call or write companies that you may want sample or coupons from...

We feed the canned NB - chicken or venison. I was using the Duck till Sharky mentioned somewhere about not using Duck for cats with UTI - something to that effect.

I put out about an ounce of the Duck earlier today and they sniffed but didn't eat. Tonight, a couple of them were sampling it, including Prowler- which really surprised me b/c he is my wet-food whiner - Moooommmm.. I want moooorreeeee!!!!

Like Sharky said, this is a great reminder to email companies about samples... especially if you can't afford it, or its unavailable in your area.

I would like to try a couple of their other foods, but I can only get certain formulas where I shop so maybe they would be able to send me a couple samples before I ask the shop to order it in. hmmmmmm.

I remember someone else emailing a company a couple years ago and getting a box full of samples - maybe it was NB, too.

I hope they continue to eat it and that helps. Mine love the taste of it too, even the kittens will gobble it up (first night I brought them home NB was all I had in the house - plus they've stolen bites).

The boys like the venison and GP wet as well. Yes, I also hope that it helps.

They are mostly getting a variety of wet right now... b/c I thought they were all getting too chubby on the mix of w/d I was using. have noticed that a couple of them have slimmed down a little bit. Everyone except Archie!! Who eats LOTS of EVERYTHING!!

If they want treats.. they have to run and get them.. .I throw them around the downstairs and sometimes Up the stairs for them to race and run and jump to get the little snacks. And then there is just plain play time.

This was not a problem at all... ever. I just changed the ratio b/c of weight gain.

ahh well you know my memory is not up to current computing standards..lol
