Cat Attract certainly does attract the cats!

A few days ago, I bought some Cat Attract litter to try it out, as my one kitty will sometimes go outside the box. To cut down on cost, I decided to only pour a little on top of the regular litter. I would keep the bag of Cat Attract next to the litter box and add a little more after each scooping.

So today I scooped the litter and grabbed the bag of Cat Attract to pour some more in. Surprise! The bag itself was wet and covered in urine! Well, it certainly did attract the cats! I couldn't yell at them since they were using the litter, after all. It would have been nice if they used it after it was in the box though! The bag of litter is now securely locked away.

Well, if anyone was wondering, Cat Attract really does attract the cats!

How true ! I had an opened bag ready to pour in the box when I heard scratching. I turned to see my tiny 6 pound male in the bag getting ready to do his business.

Mine really like the fine sandy texture of the "Kitten Attract". I sure hope it's not a problem to use it on a regular basis.

I have an older cat that loved to pee in the sink for years and years (at least it was the sink and not elsewhere). The day that I started to use Cat Attract, he has never used the sink again.

They absolutely love the stuff!

Foster boy Ghost found a flower pot in the garage that was about half-filled with dirt and decided THAT was the best litter pan in the whoooolllleee woooorrrllld. Didn't know why the garage smelled so bad until I caught him one day using it!

Doug and I bagged up the whole thing (medium sized pot) and put in the trash. Next time Ghost went into the garage ... he started squeaking his head off... saying where is my potty pot???? LOL!!!

sheesh, they should call it Cat Super-duper Attract! thanks for the warning..after reading this I ordered a bag online to try it --I plan to get a new catbox soon

That would be Dr. Elsey in Englewood CO. He is a cat veterinary specialist whose practice is 3 blocks from my friends house. She takes her cats there. He's fascinated with my crew because 2 of his patients are Muddy/Koko's littermates.

Funny thing - I have given her feedback about what happened in my house with my sink pee-er, and she told him the story last time she was in there. He just laughed.

He knows his stuff about cats.

There is a Cat Attract supplement you can add to your own litter - still probably expensive to ship, but a lot easier than 20 pound sacks of litter. I use the litter - thank goodness for Dr. Elsey!

Unfortunately, this hasn't solved the problem. The cat continues to poo outside the box. He already has some digestive issues, and I plan to have a stool test done within the next several weeks. I need to get the cats another litter box, too.

This issue is nothing new, though. The floor probably smells from his past "accidents," encouraging him to keep pooing there. What products will get rid of the smell? I usually use Simple Solution. The flooring is terrible: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=195607

I might try 100% Cat Attract; maybe it will work better.

Hum.... You mean you have been mixing cat attract? It's supposed to be used 100% to be 100% effective though...

Also, you must clean the spots with a good enzyme cleaner I like Anti-Icky-POO IMHO, it is the best one...

Do you know if you can get that Anti-Icky-Poo at Pet Supplies Plus? PSP is my main source for cat supplies. What about Nature's Miracle? I've heard all kinds of good things about it, but is it just for urine?

Nature's Miracle is good... not as good, but definitely GOOD. Reliable, solid, if available, go ahead and get it. If they have Anti icky poo, then get it instead... it is much better... Each Pet Supply Plus is different though...
And make sure to use cat attract litter 100%... or get the additive instead...

Try Nok Out. It works where Simple Solution and Nature's Miracle has failed for me, and it doesn't leave a chemical smell afterwards. You will want to saturate the area (e.g. pour it on) and let it soak, and possibly repeat the application a couple of times. It's pricey, but it sure is less expensive than replacing things.

I used to mix Cat Attract with the regular litter, but it works so much better if you go full strength.

Yeah - Nok Out and Anti Icky Poo are known for being the two best ones... momofmany is right you need to soak the place... pour on it, instead of spray on it. Especially if you have carpet...
