Tiger

She started to fail on Friday & by the time I got home yesterday she was just barely hanging on. I made the very difficult decision to have her put to sleep. By the time I got to the vets office she was in a comma. The vet was very nice. He said I did everything I could have and that there was just something very wrong with her. He told me that if it had been a simple case of H.L. she would have been getting better. I did not stay with during the final stage, but I don't think she was even aware that I was there. So my little torti girl is gone.

R.I.P Tiger, your healthy and have all your claws back again. I hope you knew how much I loved you & I will see you again some day. You & Smokey be nice to each other, no fighting!

Reading this brought tears to my eyes...

I don't post as often as I'd like, but I do visit the site many times during the day and feel as though I know all of you though my name is probably not even familiar to most. And, that being said, I have been following your posts from day one about Tiger and her suspected case of hepatic lipidosis. In fact, I have been praying for her most every night in the hopes that she would get well and live a long, healthy, and happy life with you and your current furry family.

I was inspired by your willingness to foster sweet Tiger and for all of the love, courage, and hope you bestowed upon her. You fought for her when it seemed as though no one else would. And, in her final weeks, she experienced love, joy, and freedom. Tiger was an exceptional cat with an exceptional family who loved and respected her. God bless you and yours as you come to accept her passing. You did right by Tiger in a way that changed her life -- even in the decision to end her suffering.

Tiger, you will be missed. But, you are free from your body, pain, and suffering now and can play happily and contendedly at the rainbow bridge. Thank you for being a teacher of love and faith to all who knew you -- both in your physical self and through words on a screen. I know this for certain...you were loved.

R I P Tiger.

Oh I am so sorry. But how she was loved. LOVED by you. Because of you, she knew love, and she is now waiting for you free of sickness at the Bridge.

You did the best by her and hopefully do not feel any regrets.

But I am sorry for your loss, and am crying with you.

Thank you all for your kind words. She was a good kitty & I am sorry I couldn't do more for her. I do understand that there was something wrong with her that just could not be fixed. It's just very sad.
